About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Group Manager to join our Project and Engineering Department in Aktau. The successful candidate will oversee project engineering activities, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, ensure compliance with company standards and Kazakhstan legislation, and drive technical excellence across all projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering team.
Coordinate work between company departments and serve as a liaison between project, production, and technical teams.
Plan, review, and monitor project schedules and execution.
Ensure project documentation meets legal, technical, and company standards.
Conduct thorough reviews of engineering solutions developed internally or by contractors.
Ensure adherence to procurement rules, technical specifications, and company standards.
Manage technical evaluations during tender processes and supplier engagements.
Promote safety, quality, and compliance across all project activities.
Implement and maintain company standards across engineering disciplines.
Take on additional tasks as assigned in line with professional expertise.
Requirements:
Education: Technical higher education in engineering (petrochemical, oil & gas, chemical, or related fields).
Experience: Minimum 15 years in the oil & gas or petrochemical industry, including design, construction, EPC, and operational projects.
Preferred: Experience with FEED, EPC, brownfield/greenfield projects, and working in multidisciplinary teams with contractors and suppliers.
Skills & Knowledge:
Strong knowledge of Kazakhstan legislation, industry standards, and international regulations. Project management, technical review, and coordination skills. Ability to lead and develop teams, set KPIs, and monitor performance. Commitment to safety, compliance, and ethical standards.
