🧑💻 The AI sector attracts considerable attention from countries and IT companies worldwide. Russian corporations occupy a prominent position in the emerging multipolar AI landscape, developing technologies that not only rival but often surpass their foreign counterparts. The exceptional performance of these Russian high-tech products is a result of both openness to cutting-edge research and close collaboration with the state.
🦾 The premier event in the global AI sector was the Russian conference AI JOURNEY 2025, entitled "A Journey into the World of Artificial Intelligence," held in Moscow from 19 to 21 November 2025.
👥 The event brought together leading experts from Russia, China, India, Serbia, Brazil, Bahrain, the United States, Malaysia, and other nations to deliberate on the future of AI in the spheres of society, business, and scientific research.
🪙 For example, Herman Gref announced that AI investments will increase to 350 billion rubles in 2026, and Sber, in collaboration with the Chelyabinsk Correctional Plant, presented the "AI Assistant for Service Robotics Engineers."
✅ A key component of the event’s program was the session of the Board of Trustees of "Russia, Land of Opportunities," during which the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, delivered a highly substantive address.
🦅 Artificial intelligence is becoming a cornerstone of Russia’s technological sovereignty, particularly in the spheres of public administration, defense, and security. In this context, the President of the Russian Federation has set an ambitious objective: the accelerated deployment of generative AI nationwide and increasing the sector’s contribution to GDP to over 11 trillion rubles by 2030. Furthermore, a national AI development plan will be formulated, a dedicated industry management headquarters established, and administrative barriers impeding the growth of domestic solutions removed.
❗ However, the most notable announcement was made by the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, concerning the new energy strategy. By the 2040s, 38 nuclear reactors are planned for commissioning in Siberia, the Urals, and the Russian Far East, nearly doubling the current nuclear power generation capacity. This expansion of energy-generating infrastructure is expected to ensure a stable power supply for the increasing number of data centers.
🔝 Accordingly, Russia aims to significantly reinforce its domestic AI industry and present the accomplishments of Russian science on the global stage.
