Met my student Deepanshu AIR 38, CSE 2025 today. Whenever I have spoken to him, he comes across as a person who has a lot of conviction about his methods and resilience to steer through challenges. He improved his ethics score to 120 from 97 last year. Will soon post his ethics strategy video and podcast. All the best, Deepanshu.

Many students have recently messaged me regarding whether they should skip this attempt. I have made this video for different categories of students ( rankers to first time prelims appearing students).
I hope you will get clarity about the various factors that one should consider when making such an important decision.

Most students analyse their UPSC marksheets with several biases 📊 and end up missing the real areas of improvement for the next attempt.
In this video, I have discussed:
• Biases you must avoid while analysing your marksheet ⚠️
• How to properly interpret your marksheet 🔍
• Whether you should start preparing for Mains now 📚
• Whether it’s time to continue or reconsider your civil services preparation 🤔
Watch the full video and analyse your marksheet the right way 🎯

Aakriti had her all GS marks in the 80s in the previous attempt. But as they say, attitude determines altitude. Rather than getting overwhelmingly disheartened or feeling a victim of the circumstances, she accepted the reality, put her emotions aside, and went into a micro examination of her flaws and where she can improve.
A similar thing happened when she met me two days before the PT for the DAF discussion. Her answers during the discussion were not that great, and I gave her a bit of blunt feedback (which I later regretted as it might have affected her confidence). But then she took that also on her chin, and for the next two days, she went into contemplation mode only about how she should present her answers. She got 212 marks in PT this year, and her ethics marks improved by about 22 marks. she has secured AIR 93 this year.
Friends, mindset plays a big role in shaping our life trajectory. At times, things might not go our way, but we should have this honesty of critical examination and belief in self-improvement.
I was also fortunate to speak to her mother during this podcast (it felt like speaking to my own mother). So much warmth and affection, she showered upon me. Aakriti’s mindset reflects the nurturing by her parents. They supported her through thick and thin.
Blessed are those children who have got such supportive parents. May we, the children, discharge our responsibilities towards them diligently. May God give us that strength.

Based on the very limited information received so far (will share and update as soon as i receive more marksheets), these are the ethics marks of various students of mine. Though these are good marks but looking at the general distribution, I think Ethics marks are suppressed by 8-10 marks as compared to last year. This year Optional and Personality Test have played major major role in deciding rank.
To give you perspective, for last two years , AIR 01 have had 140+ marks in ethics, playing major role. This year’s rank 1 has secured 126.
The truly Unpredictable Public Service Commission.

UPSC CSE Results should be a celebration of hard work - 80% belongs to the student, 10% to teachers, parents, and institutes, and the remaining 10% is up to God. However, every year, instead of meaningful academic discussion, it turns into a topper-claiming exercise.
I am deeply saddened by this.
This needs to stop.

I don’t have data of my students so don’t really have clear picture of my result. Thank you so much Ishita for making me part of your journey. I am grateful.
Dosto, i am very happy and emotionally overwhelmed by the result this year. Every fifth student in top 100 this year is my student (20 students in top100…. AIR 04,06,16,21 etc). Bache jab Khud aakar bata rahe hain to aur acha lag raha hai…. I have only dreamt of stuff like this. Thank you so so much God and dear students for making me live this moment. Aur Bahut jyada jimmedari ka ahsas ho raha hai …will work even more harder with utmost honesty with you.
