This day is for students and anyone interested in the psychology of communication, who wants to deepen their understanding of others and notice their own ways of interpreting what's happening around them. The program features three parallel workshops:
🎨 Art Techniques for Emotional Intelligence Development
Led by: Daria Dyagileva, Lead Psychologist at the HSE University Psychological Counseling Center
Participants will explore ways to recognize and investigate emotions through creative practices. In the "emotion map" art exercise, you'll translate your feelings onto a body map using color and imagery — observing where emotions live in your body, how they feel, and what form they take.
💬 Making Sense: The Role of Mentalization in Communication
Led by: Svetlana Sidorenkova, Lead Psychologist at the HSE University Psychological Counseling Center, workshop facilitator
Using art therapy techniques, we'll explore the ability to understand another person's thoughts, intentions, and feelings. You'll experiment with new ways of interacting and gain insight into how you build connections with others.
🤖 Emotional Intelligence Debugging
Led by: HSE University psychology students Patimat Makhieva, Vladislav Rodonich, Anna Komarova, Anastasia Volkova, Elizaveta Alekseeva
In a world driven by technology and information, the ability to understand others becomes a superpower. At this workshop, we'll work on developing it: learning to read emotions through hidden cues in voice, gestures, and pauses — to build better connections and hear more than words can say.
🐶 And of course, the program includes a relaxation zone with therapy dogs. You'll meet our four-legged specialists, learn about different breeds, take part in interactive stations, and simply hug someone who's always happy to see you.
