A critical vulnerability (CVE-2026-41940) has been discovered in https://www.cve.org/CVERecord?id=CVE-2026-41940
This is a serious issue that could allow attackers to bypass authentication and gain unauthorized access to the server.
What this means:
If your server is not updated, an attacker may be able to:
Access cPanel or WHM without login
Take control of hosting accounts
Modify or delete websites, databases, and files
Access sensitive business data
Who is affected:
All servers running cPanel/WHM that are not updated
Action required:
Update cPanel/WHM to the latest patched version immediately
Restart services after update
Check logs for any suspicious activity
Simple explanation:
Hackers may not need a password to access your server if it is not updated.
