Read the above words marked in bold taken from excerpts of the official press release of PIB (link given above). What do you make from it?
The summit was not as much about AI but democratization of data in a multipolar world order. That was the biggest takeaway from the summit. To lay the foundations of how AI will be used in future, getting a whopping 89 nations onboard & taking the first global lead to do this feat.
And what was the news you heard from the AI summit?
A university falsely attributing to themselves an imported robot as their own, even though all they meant (which wasn't communicated well though) was they were using the robot to administer academics to their students/faculty. Their spokesperson goofed up royally & our intelligent masses lapped on it highlighting it as the only thing happening in that global summit.
Other main takeaways from the summit which our people loved highlighting was unavailability of cabs Ola/Uber, water scarcity, UPI not working, dirty toilets, & everything except the achievements being showcased. To top it up, we Indians even did a naked protest. Such a good citizenry we have. Always pulling down the country, mocking Vishwaguru (a term that should motivate every Indian to reach greater heights) jibes, diminishing our local talent, their achievements.
How many spared a few minutes to read the good? None.
Not the first time nor is this going to be the last. We love questioning our armed forces demanding proofs, at a time of war we prefer doing fact-checks in our country's claims giving ample ammunition for our enemies to laugh at us, use us.
International press needs to do no effort to find ways to pull us down. We do their work dutifully. After all we have been serving foreign colonialists for the last 1000 years & look down at everything that is indigenous.
Nonetheless, coming back to the key takeaway - data. US & China have been key countries with vast repositories of data. In these 89 signatories, India has managed to have one key nation - China. That proves once again all the experts who pitch India vs China as two warring nations when in reality have always reiterated on VidurNeeti that these two are two allies whenever it will deal to decouple from the West, especially US. It also reaffirms the multipolarity alliance once again.
Now you know why some politicians aren't happy with India taking a lead on AI & data localization. They tried their best to disrupt it.
A request to citizens of India - Our country isn't perfect but where we were 5 years back on AI, semiconductor, chips manufacturing? We weren't even a notable name. Today we have taken a giant leap in this short span & leading the table. Appreciate the good. There's a time to criticize & improve but not when the world is watching us. Treat this country as you would project your home to your guests.
VidurNeeti.
