I read my eyes out and can't read half enough neither.
The more one reads, the more one sees we have to read.
Defeat appears to me to be preferable than succumbing to total inaction.
The true source of our suffering has been our timidity. We have been afraid to think, speak and write.
So let us now dare to read, think, speak, and write of important concerns.
The prospect now before us in America ought to be, to engage the attention of every man, woman, and child to the learning of power and right, so that we may neither be led nor driven blindfolded to irretrievable self-destruction.
Liberty and freedom cannot be preserved without a general knowledge shared among the people.
Abuse of words has been the great instrument of sophistry and chicanery, of party, faction and division of people in our society.
Liberty must at all hazards and all costs be supported.
We have a right to it, derived from our maker.
Our founding generation has earned and bought it for us at the expense of their ease, their estates, their pleasure, their blood, and their lives.
Tyranny can scarcely be practiced upon a virtuous and wise people.
Knowledge is power.
Truth is our armor.
God's law is our foundation.
And freedom is a gift from our Creator.
And we the People shall stand for it and defend it till the end.

Founding Papers of the United States
Phase I. Pre Independence Foundations (1774–1776)
These papers show the colonies moving from protest → unity → a claim of rights → independence.
1. Articles of Association (1774)
Why it matters:
It marks the first time the colonies acted together as a single body, agreeing to a unified boycott. This is the birth of coordinated American political action.
2. Declaration and Resolves of the First Continental Congress (1774)
Why it matters:
It lays out the colonies’ understanding of their rights and explains why Parliament’s actions violated them. It’s the intellectual groundwork for independence.
3. Petition to the King (1774)
Why it matters:
It shows the colonies still hoped for reconciliation. This paper proves that independence was not the first choice — it became necessary.
4. Olive Branch Petition (1775)
