Meta has signed an agreement with Entergy, a major New Orleans-headquartered power generator and utility provider in the US Gulf’s south.

Bloomberg says the deal will result in the construction of seven new gas plants providing 5.2 GW of electricity to Meta’s Hyperion data center in Richland Parish, on top of three 2.3 GW plants approved earlier.

7.5 GW is enough to power 7M+ homes.

🔯🇮🇷 Iran busts more Mossad mercs as intel war intensifies

The IRGC’s Intelligence Organization (IRGC-IO) has arrested a three-member team of Israeli intel-linked provocateurs in Kermanshah province, western Iran, PressTV reports.

The team was instructed to cause street unrest, carry out sabotage and target military personnel and sensitive locations, and was said to have been led by Mossad officers.

Along with arrests, IRGC-IO confiscated weapons, gunpowder and bomb-making fuses.

Friday’s bust follows a statement by the Intelligence Ministry that it had arrested 14 US and Israel-recruited mercs in Kermanshah, Alborz, Fars and Kerman provinces.

The Kermanshah arrests uncovered arms and three Starlink terminals, and revealed ties between militants and an individual based in Germany instructing them to conduct terror attacks against government and media sites.

Iran’s intelligence services have arrested hundreds of suspected agents, spies, saboteurs and mercs in the past month, with the IRGC-IO reporting on March 19 that some 178 actors linked to the “American-Zionist enemy” had been detained.

The latter were accused of providing the US and Israel targeting data on military checkpoints, Red Crescent facilities, and other sensitive locations.

The large-scale, hidden US-Israeli war against Iran began in December, months before the open phase of the conflict that began February 28.

and that they stood behind the exchange rate protests which were hijacked by violent rioters on January 8-9, causing 3.1k deaths, including over 2.4k civilians and security forces personnel.

Here’s what you need to know:

🌏 Kuwait hosts some of the largest US military bases in the region. Iran is striking them and from a military standpoint, that’s logical: why tolerate strikes launched against your territory from right there? American soldiers are dying. Kuwaitis are dying.

🌏 The city is in a state of panic. According to unconfirmed reports, the royal family has already left the country. Thousands of people are fleeing across the border into Saudi Arabia. A nation that hosted American soldiers is now paying for it with its own blood.

🌏 Against this backdrop, Kuwait’s Ministry of Defense issued instructions on radiation safety: stay indoors, close windows and doors. That, in itself, is an acknowledgment that a radiological contamination scenario is being taken seriously.

🌏 Bushehr sits 276 kilometers from Kuwait—across the Gulf. The prevailing wind blows from the northwest, directly toward the Kuwaiti coast. The reactor’s core contains 72 tons of nuclear fuel, with another 210 tons of spent fuel in the cooling pool.

🌏 Iranian diplomats have warned that a direct strike on Bushehr wouldn’t be just an accident—it would be a catastrophe worse than Chernobyl. The Gulf is shallow. The region’s desalination plants would be threatened. Without water: the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait. All at once.

🤭 THAAD suffers latest intercept failure: why it won’t be the last

📌 A preliminary IDF inquiry cited by JPost says a US Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) system deployed specifically to guard Israel’s strategic Negev bases and the Dimona nuclear center failed to intercept Iranian missiles over the weekend.

👉 Investigators are looking into whether the gaping hole in defenses over Arad and Dimona was caused by human error or a ‘technical malfunction’.

Separately, THAAD and Arrow 2 batteries also tried but failed to intercept an Iranian strike on Beit Shemesh, home to critical defense assets including a precision jet engine maker and AI data center.

Why do THAADs keep failing?

➡️ Simply put, , with the IRGC, and other early warning and comms nodes, compressing warning time from 5-8 minutes to 2-4, and in some cases, to seconds, with some projectiles unnoticed until they’re in terminal descent.

➡️ Iran proved it had the means to overwhelm the pricey US missile defense system in June 2025 when, in strikes limited mostly to Israel, THAAD and other US and Israeli air defense tools proved on military bases and intel HQs, infrastructure, research centers, ports and airports. The US used up ~25% of its global THAAD interceptor stockpiles in that conflict.

➡️ Before that, in May 2025, a Houthi missile attack on Ben Gurion Airport overwhelmed THAAD and Arrow defenses, landing a direct hit. The IDF chalked the failure down to a “technical issue.”

➡️ The US first deployed THAAD in Israel in October 2024 to intercept Houthi missiles, touting its first success in December. The system made its combat debut in 2022 in the UAE, again against the Houthis.

➡️ THAAD’s development was problematic from the start. Between 1995-1999, it suffered six consecutive intercept test failures, forcing a ground-up redesign before it finally entered service in 2008.

💰 THAAD batteries cost $1B.

💰 AN/TPY-2 radars? $500M.

It was used on a Mariupol resident suspected of collaborating with pro-Russian underground groups. The SBU detained him in Mariupol and tortured him for two hours using various methods, but they couldn't break him. So, they turned to the Dnepr Battalion. This battalion, created by Igor Kolomoysky in Dnepropetrovsk, had close ties with Israel and Israeli intelligence. Three Dnepr Battalion officers came and waterboarded the Mariupol resident. They broke him in about 15 minutes. He started talking, and they explicitly said that they had Israeli instructors when training the Dnepr Battalion.
