back when i was in high school, i knew i should be learning english but honestly, i was too lazy to do it the traditional way. textbooks felt boring, memorizing vocabulary felt forced, and i just couldn’t stay consistent.
at some point, i realized the problem wasn’t english itself, it was the way i was trying to learn it. so instead of forcing myself through methods i didn’t enjoy, i started looking for something easier.
that’s when i got into youtube. i watched a lot of content about learning english, but even that still felt like studying. then i switched it up, i started watching vlogs, just regular people living their lives. since i was already interested in life in the U. S., especially New York, it actually kept me hooked.
i kept watching more and more, and without even noticing, i started picking up idioms, new words, and the way people actually speak in real life.
the best part? it didn’t feel like studying. i was just enjoying the content and somehow, learning happened naturally.
