Dear students,
We are pleased to announce that, following years of sustained effort and consideration, the university administration has approved two long-awaited initiatives aimed at improving students wellbeing and advancing the development of musical infrastructure on campus:
— the soundproofing of the music room in Block 25🎸
— the opening of a second music room in Block C2 🎧
We would like to thank Student Fund for their support in these initiatives, as these initiatives wouldn’t be possible without it ❤️
Installation and related works are currently projected for June–July.
Further updates will be provided as progress continues 👍

Dear Students,
There are some details about the Republican referendum on the draft of the new Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which will take place on March 15, 2026:
1. Nazarbayev University students who have temporary registration in the dormitories can vote at polling station № 199 at the territory of the autonomous educational organization "Nazarbayev Intellectual School" located at Hussein bin Talal Street, 21. For your convenience, a gate from the University campus to NIS will be opened.
2. Students living off-campus and having permanent registration in Astana can vote at their place of residence. You can find out the address of your polling place at the official website http://referendum.gov.kz/
Date and Time: March 15, 2026, from 07:00 to 20:00. Students are encouraged to come before 15:00.
3. Required Documents: Identification document/passport.

Dear Students,
According to the https://adilet.zan.kz/rus/docs/Z2500000236#z497 to the Paragraph https://adilet.zan.kz/rus/docs/Z070000319_#z490 of Article 47 of the https://adilet.zan.kz/rus/docs/Z070000319_ of the Republic of Kazakhstan, students enrolled in postgraduate studies in foreign educational institutions are no longer granted an exemption from the mandatory three-year work obligation. Instead, students will receive a deferral for the duration of their studies.
In other words, this means that even if you are enrolled in a foreign university, you must return to Kazakhstan after the end of your studies to complete the three-year work obligation. The new updates will be effective starting from the Graduating Class of 2026.
"Шетелдік білім беру ұйымдарында резидентураға (ординатураға), магистратураға, аспирантураға, докторантураға түскен және оқуын аяқтаған адамдарға оқу кезеңінде жұмыспен өтеу бойынша кейінге қалдыру беріледі."
"Лицам, поступившим и завершившим обучение в резидентуре (ординатуре), магистратуре, аспирантуре, докторантуре в зарубежных организациях образования, предоставляется отсрочка по отработке на период обучения."
