https://www.transparencia.gob.sv/institutions/gd-usulutan/documents/192280/download states that salaries “Must be paid in legal tender.” This contradicts article 7 of the https://ssf.gob.sv/wp-content/uploads//ssf2018/OtrasLeyes/Ley_integracion_monetaria.pdf, that “Wages, salaries, and fees may be denominated and paid in Colones or Dollars.” (In 2001, the U. S. Dollar replaced the Colón as the currency of El Salvador, but it remains legal tender).
