With fast transactions and low fees,
TRON has become a major blockchain for payments, wallets, and DeFi, now hosting over 50% of USDT’s circulating supply!
https://tatum-staging.webflow.io/blog/building-on-tron, we explore how devs can connect to Tron using RPC endpoints, improve reliability with Tatum RPC Router, and monitor activity with webhooks.

There are 3 kinds of crypto people.
Those ignoring taxes, those suffering through spreadsheets, and those automating the process.
https://tatum.io/blog/top-7-tax-tools
Many of these tools rely on Tatum’s Data APIs to pull accurate transaction history across 175+ networks.
Don't wait until April. Get your data in order now. 🙂

We’ve improved our webhook notifications! (again)
What’s new 👇
👉 Clear sender and recipient fields (from, to)
👉 Rich tokenMetadata for better token context
👉 Additional transaction data like gas usage and timestamps
Newly created accounts will receive a cleaner, more structured webhook payload by default.
Existing users keep the legacy format unless they choose to upgrade. https://docs.tatum.io/reference/updatesubscription

If February ends in the red, it will be the longest BTC monthly "red streak" since 2018.
But well... don't just watch the charts, build them! 🛠️
We’ve launched Crypto Heatmaps with Price API for devs who want to build high-performance dashboards and analytics tools.
👉 Data for 439+ trading pairs
👉 Absolute & % price changes in one call.
👉 Custom time ranges & interval-based logic.
👉 Unified API, one integration for all chains.
You can try it, right from our https://docs.tatum.io/docs/crypto-heatmaps-with-prices-apis with a free API key.

If you’re building multichain products, you know the pain: supporting 10+ chains usually means maintaining 100+ endpoints.
Every new network adds a mountain of technical debt and custom parsing logic.
We’re fixing that with the Tatum v4 Data API.
https://tatum.io/blog/v4-data-api
We’ve built a standardized abstraction layer so you can focus on building, not maintenance. Whether you’re pulling blocks, balances, or transactions, the JSON response is now standardized across all chains.
Why this matters for your stack: A single endpoint, for example, /v4/data/blockchains/tx/hash now replaces all chain-specific paths.
This means adding new chains to your app is now a simple configuration change, not a backend maintenance nightmare.
Standardized data. Standardized pricing. Zero refactoring.

⚠️ New endpoint alert for devs building charts or trading bots!
Candle Price Chart with Price API is live.
Building charts or backtesting strategies requires granular data, but handling historical gaps and timestamp conversions is a pain. Until today. 😎
The breakdown.
Endpoint: GET /v4/data/rate/symbol/OHLCV
Coverage: 439+ pairs, returned in USD by default.
Interval: 1-minute (5m, 15m, 1h, and 1d intervals are currently in the works).
The API follows a specific logic to ensure your frontend doesn't break.
Direct Match: If your timestamp falls within a candle's range, you get that record.
Edge Cases: If you query a time later or earlier than our dataset, the API automatically returns the closest available record rather than an empty response.
It’s built specifically for powering market dashboards, calculating volatility, and running historical analysis without needing to manage your own price database.
You can check the response schema directly https://docs.tatum.io/docs/making-price-candle-chart-with-price-apis.

Most teams overpay for RPCs without realizing why.
It’s not usage. It’s not scale. It’s routing.
Different RPC methods have very different costs depending on the provider.
Treating them all the same is where budgets leak.
With Method-Level Routing in the Tatum Gateway, you can route each call to the most cost-efficient provider automatically and cut RPC spend by up to 34%.

High RPC costs are often just a routing problem.
We’ve added Method-Level Routing to the Tatum Gateway, helping teams save up to 34% by sending the right calls to the right providers.
We know the struggle: every RPC provider has a different pricing model. One might be cheap for standard data but expensive for other calls. Instead of settling for one-size-fits-all pricing, you can now orchestrate your traffic with surgical precision.
With the https://tatum.io/gateway, you decide:
✅ Which methods go to which endpoint
✅ Which provider handles specific traffic
✅ How to balance performance and cost effortlessly
It’s about giving you total control over your infra without the headache of manual configuration.
The best part, set up is super simple and takes just a few clicks!

This is our kind of dinner with candles.
We launched our OHLCV API to give you precise, 1-minute interval historical price data for 439+ pairs.
We’ve handled the hard stuff like:
👉 Matching the closest record if your timestamp is a bit off.
👉 Support for both Unix ms and Date objects.
👉 Consistent USD rates for accurate historical tracking.

It's hacking time!
This week, the Tatum team is coming together in Brno for an internal hackathon. 😎
We all have great ideas that live outside our day-to-day, now, we finally have the time to bring them to life.
We’re spending the next few days building projects across UX, Support, OPS, or Product to make the Tatum experience even better for our users.
And of course… + + collab across teams to build cool stuff!
Let's get to work. ⚡️

The transition from testnet to production is where the "scalability wall" hits.
Fees spike, users get frustrated, and suddenly, you need a rollup yesterday.
But the real headache?
Picking the right one. 😱
Should you go:
-Optimistic (Fast to deploy, EVM-equivalent)
-ZK-Rollup (Instant finality, mathematical security)
-App-Specific (Full control, tailored performance)
-RaaS (Rollups-as-a-Service for rapid scaling)
Each has its own trade-offs in costs, speed, and complexity.
We see builders tackling these hurdles every day.
Whether you’re on an L2 or a custom rollup, having the right RPCs and abstraction layer makes the transition seamless.

Following our Bitcoin indexer upgrade, we rolled out the same improvements to the Litecoin and Dogecoin UTXO indexers, delivering up to 19× faster responses for large, high activity wallets. 💥
The impact is clear on some of the most commonly used endpoints:
-Get unspent UTXOs for an address
-Get the balance of a Litecoin address
-Get the balance of a Dogecoin address
The Litecoin and Dogecoin UTXO indexers were rebuilt using the same architecture introduced for Bitcoin. The previous implementation had a hard timeout threshold at around 170K transactions, which caused slowdowns or failures for very large wallets. That limitation is now completely removed. 🌬️
Smaller wallets were already performant, so the focus was on the real bottlenecks, exchanges, payment services, mining payouts, and automated systems generating thousands of outputs over time. 🦾
For teams building on Litecoin Foundation and Dogecoin, this upgrade removes the need for workarounds like custom indexing, batching logic, or aggressive retry handling.
The same APIs now scale cleanly, even under heavy load.
