🔹Used to + V1 – o‘tmishda odat yoki holat, hozir yo‘q.
🍀I used to play football every day.
(= Men oldin har kuni futbol o‘ynardim, hozir esa o‘ynamayman.)
🍀She used to live in London.
(= U ilgari Londonda yashagan.)

🔹Be used to + V-ing/Noun – biror narsaga o‘rganib qolgan bo‘lish.
🍀I am used to waking up early.
(= Men erta turishga o‘rganib qolganman.)
🍀He is used to the cold weather.
(= U sovuq havoga o‘rganib qolgan.)

🔹Getting used to + V-ing/Noun – asta-sekin o‘rganib borish.

📌Grammar Post: Gerund vs Infinitive

Ingliz tilida ba’zi fe’llardan keyin gerund (-ing shakli), ba’zilaridan keyin esa infinitive (to + verb) ishlatiladi.

🔹 Gerund (-ing) bilan keladigan fe’llar:

🍀enjoy, avoid, consider, finish, suggest, mind
➡️She enjoys reading books.
(= U kitob o‘qishni yoqtiradi.)

➡️He avoided answering the question.
(= U savolga javob berishdan qochdi.)

🔹 Infinitive (to + verb) bilan keladigan fe’llar:

🍀decide, want, hope, promise, plan, agree
➡️They decided to travel abroad.
(= Ular chet elga sayohat qilishga qaror qilishdi.)

➡️I hope to see you soon.
(= Tez orada seni ko‘rishni umid qilaman.)

🔹 Ba’zi fe’llar ikkala shakl bilan ham keladi, lekin ma’nosi o‘zgaradi:

🍀1st Conditional – kelajakda real imkoniyat.
➡️If it rains tomorrow, we will stay at home.

🍀2nd Conditional – hozirgi yoki kelajakdagi nereal vaziyat.

(= Men safarga qo‘shilishni xohlardim, biroq ishlashim kerak edi.)

🔹Nevertheless – shunday bo‘lsa ham (kuchliroq urg‘u)
➡️The task was difficult; nevertheless, she completed it.
(= Vazifa qiyin edi, shunday bo‘lsa ham u tugatdi.)

🔹On the other hand – boshqa tomondan
➡️Living in a city is noisy. On the other hand, it offers many opportunities.
