Selam everyone! 👋
During this Abiy Tsom, I really wanted a place to just listen to Orthodox Mezmurs peacefully with the lyrics, without getting distracted by recommendations, or cluttered UIs. I couldn't find an app that did exactly what I wanted... so I decided to fight with some scripts and build it myself!
The User Experience:
-Clean, distraction-free audio streaming.
-Fully categorized by Zemarian and Mezmur categories.
-5 different custom themes designed to feel natural and calm.
Still a work in progress!
• Around 75% of tracks don’t have lyrics yet
• Lyrics are being generated in the background (Gimini API + Telegram API + Youtube API)

Is the total credit and debit accurate on the total app? Like how the hell did I spend that much amount on telebirr? How long has it been since telebirr launched. And also how can my total debit exceeds the total credit? Note that the credit is like your deposit and the debt is your spending.

One of the greatest lessons I’ve learned recently is this: don’t rely too much on your thoughts or even your logic. Life is bigger than that. It’s so easy to fall into the trap of your own mind.
Most of us spend way more time thinking than we actually need to.
The most honest conclusion you can reach is that you really know nothing, about life, the universe, or even your own future. And the more you learn, the more you realize just how little you know.
So stay open. Always be willing to learn. Don’t rush to define your circumstances, and don’t get lost in thinking as if you’ve mastered it all because you haven’t.

Crazy how I turned into a voracious reader when things got tough lol… but honestly, thank God, I finally feel like myself again after so long. Eski recommended me some great books on tech not too technical more of something that can give me higher perspectives and enrich my creativity.

Am I the only one who feels like the USD to birr rate doesn’t make sense anymore? Like the exchange rate isn't fair to me. Official or black market, a dollar just doesn’t have the same buying power it used to in Ethiopia.

I had just started reading one of my books and came across something so true that I had to share it. It said that it’s not always about having the right strategy, but also about the right timing. Even the best strategy can do harm when applied at the wrong time. Success, more often than not, is the result of timing not just hard work and strategy.

With that said, to anyone going through this: never let bullies define you. Never stop to question your worth because of their opinions.
You can grow, improve, and excel in every aspect of life and become an amazing, valuable person.
People who judge based on superficial things simply can’t see beyond the surface. Their thinking doesn’t go any deeper, and that limitation is theirs, not yours.

I see these kinds of videos and comments on TikTok sometimes, ena it makes me wonder if this is actually a real problem in Ethiopia too.
Personally, as long as you have confidence and a strong “I don’t give a shit” kind of energy, you’ll be fine. I already have a lot going on in my life, and this just isn’t one of my problems.
I know it can be a challenging social situation, but honestly—who cares if people think I’m ugly or cute? Beauty privilege exists, sure, but I’m not about to sit around and cry over it. I’d rather be smart than beautiful and dumb.
And don’t get me wrong, I’m not cold-hearted. I understand how people feel. I just believe that with the right mentality, you can get through this stuff.
