Episode 1: Intro – The New One
I’d rather keep my name and program lowkey for now. But this… this is how I caught my first STI.
Funny enough, I used to think I was that guy experienced, untouchable. Life has a way of humbling you fast. Anyway, let’s get into it.
On campus, I wasn’t really known like that in class. Just a few girls recognized me. But in my hostel? Different story. People knew me well. They even had a name for me — the twɛs boy. Not because I was loud or always trying to prove something, but because I moved quietly and calculated. I didn’t do too much… I just knew how to play my game.
By the time I got to Level 300, I had been with about 11 girls. I’m not even saying it to brag it’s just the truth. My thing was simple: no stress, no drama. I treated them right. I wasn’t rich, but I made sure I always looked good fresh clothes every semester, smelling nice, skin clean, and a decent place to stay. The rest? I just managed.
With the girls, everything was mostly calm. Sometimes they’d get upset because I wasn’t giving them enough attention and decide to leave. But give it a few weeks… they always found their way back. According to them, nobody else was doing it like me. They missed the whole vibe. So it was like an unspoken understanding no fighting, no noise, just… vibes.
Then came this group assignment.
Normally, I wouldn’t even bother showing up for things like that, but I was bored that week. So I decided to actually attend.
That Tuesday afternoon changed something.
That’s when I saw her.
She was new in the group. Dark skin, neat braids, calm but confident… and her smile? It stood out. Even the way she carried herself — you could tell she was different. During the meeting, I kept catching her looking at me. Not hiding it either.
At some point, she just said it straight:
“Wait… I’ve never seen you in class before. Are you sure you’re in this course?”
Everybody laughed a little. I just smiled and told her I usually sit at the back. We talked small after that nothing serious, just normal group conversation. Then the meeting ended, we created a WhatsApp group, and everyone went their separate ways.
I didn’t think much of her after that.
To be honest, my plate was already full school, girls, everything. I just kept things normal in the group chat and moved on.
Three days later, we met again.
This time, I noticed it properly. The way she kept glancing at me… quick looks, then she’d look away when I noticed. It was subtle, but clear.
Still, I didn’t read too much into it.
After the meeting, everyone left like usual.
Later that same evening, around 8:30 pm, my phone rang.
Unknown number.
I picked up. “Hi… it’s me, from the group,” she said. Her voice was soft… a bit shy too. “I just wanted to check up on you. Hope you’re good?”
That caught me off guard.
We ended up talking for about 15 minutes just light conversation. The assignment, how stressful Level 300 was, small jokes here and there. But she was laughing… like, really laughing. The energy was there.
After the call, I saved her number. Let’s call her Jay.
That’s when I paused for a second.
Something about her felt different. The way she reached out, the way she looked at me… it wasn’t like the others.
It felt new.
The kind of new that can either be very good… or very dangerous.
I just smiled to myself, dropped my phone.
Yeah…
This one might be trouble.
Let’s not rush it. We’ll get into it properly tomorrow.
Stay tuned.
