Sad News – Former Student Passing

Good morning.

We are saddened to share that Herma Sintayehu, a former Andinet student and one of the sisters involved in last week’s car accident, passed away last night. Her funeral will be held today at 3:00 PM at Salite Mihret.

Our thoughts and prayers are with her family during this difficult time.

Easter Greetings and School Continuity Update

Dear AIS Community and Valued Stakeholders,

Warm greetings to you all. We wish you a peaceful and blessed Easter holiday.

We would like to take this opportunity to provide an update regarding the school’s operations and ongoing administrative processes.

Over the past year, AIS has undergone a number of challenges . As part of broader sector developments, the responsibility for licensing international schools was reassigned to the Education and Training Authority (ETA) under updated regulations issued in May 2022, with implementation beginning in 2024.

In line with these developments, AIS has fully complied with all required procedures and has formally submitted its license renewal application to the appropriate authorities. We are pleased to share that the application has progressed through the necessary stages and remains in good standing.

We are also proud to inform our community that, as of April 1, 2026, AIS is listed as an accredited institution under the Pearson Edexcel International Curriculum.

Please refer to the attached document for your reference.

The school continues to work closely with the relevant authorities and remains in good standing throughout ongoing administrative processes.

AIS remains fully operational, and there is no anticipated disruption to academic programs. Our students will continue to sit for both national and international examinations as scheduled.

The school is actively preparing for the upcoming academic year, and pre-registration for siblings has already commenced.

We deeply value the trust and support of our community and remain committed to providing a stable, high-quality learning environment for all our students.

As a gesture for the holiday period, the school administration has decided to return all cell phones that were previously collected from students. The devices will be available for collection by tomorrow morning.

Parents or guardians who are able to come to the school are kindly requested to collect their child’s phone.

ማሳሰቢያ – የሦስተኛው ተርም የትምህርት ክፍያ የመጨረሻ ቀን (የ5% ቅጣት)

ክፍያቸውን በወቅቱ ለፈጸሙ ወላጆች በሙሉ ምስጋናችንን እናቀርባለን።

We extend our sincere appreciation to the significant majority of parents who have already settled their third term tuition fees.

For the few remaining parents who have not yet completed the payment, please be advised that only 1 day remain before the 5% penalty period ends on April 4, 2026.

Payments not received by this date will automatically incur a 10% penalty, effective immediately thereafter.

We strongly encourage the remaining parents to finalize their payments without delay to avoid the increased penalty.

ክቡራን ወላጆችና አሳዳጊዎች

በመጪው እሁድ የካቲት 15/2018 ዓ.ም. በወላጆች ሥም የተጠራ ስብሰባ እንዳለ የት/ቤቱ አስተዳደር መረጃ ደርሶታል፡፡ ይህ ሥብሰባ ከት/ቤቱ እውቅና ውጪ መሆኑን እናሳውቃለን።

ይህን ስብሰባ ለመጠራት የሚሞክሩ አካላት ከትምህርት ቤቱ ጋር በተያያዘ የልጆቻቸውን የሁለተኛ መንፈቅ የትምህርት ክፍያ በወቅቱ ባለማጠናቀቀቸው ምክንያት ከአራት ቀናት በፊት በ 10/06/18 ዓ/ም በተጻፈ ህጋዊ የማስጠንቀቂያ ደብዳቤ በሶስት (3) ቀናት ውስጥ ክፍያቸውን እንዲፈጽሙ ት/ቤቱ አሳውቋቸዋል ፡፡ የተወሰኑ ወላጆች ክፍያ እንዳይከፍሉ መፍቀድ ኢፍትሃዊ እና የት/ቤቱን መርህ የሚጻረር ነው፡፡ ስለሆነም የውል ግዴታቸውን ያልተወጡ እና በቀጣይም ጉዳያቸውም በህግ የሚታይ በመሆኑ ት/ቤቱንም ሆነ ወላጆችን በመወከል ለመንቀሳቀስ ብቁ ናቸው ብለን አናምንም ፡፡

እንዲሁም የPTSA የአገልግሎት ዘመን ሁለት አመት እንደመሆኑ የኢ.ፌ.ዲ.ሪ. ትምህርትና ስልጠና ባለሥልጣን ት/ቤቱን በመደበኛ የPTSA ምርጫ መርሐ ግብር ላይ ያካተተው በመሆኑ የተመደበልን የምርጫ ጊዜ ሲደርስ በይፋ እንደሚያሳውቀን ገልጾልናል፡፡ ከዚህ ውጪ በሆነ መንገድ ፣ማንኛውም ህጋዊ መስፈርቱን ያላሟላ ምርጫ በፍታዊነት ሊካሄድ አይችልም፡፡ እንዲሁም አስቀድሞ የሚደረግ ማንኛውም የምርጫ ማስታወቂያ ወይም ዘመቻ ሕጋዊ ሂደቱን ማደናቀፍ ነው ተብሎ ይቆጠራል።

ወላጆች በዚህ ከት/ቤቱ እና ከሚመለከተው አካል እውቅና እና ፍቃድ ውጪ ለማካሄድ በታስበው ስብሰባ ላይ እንዳትገኙ ምክራዊ ሀሳባችንን እናስተላልፋለን፡፡ በቀጣይ በሚደረገው ሕጋዊ ፣ ግልጽ እና ሁሉን አሳታፊ በሚሆነው ስብሰባ ላይ ፣ በቅን ልቦና የሚያገለግሉ ከሁሉም ባለድርሻ አካላት ጋር መልካም ትብብር ማድረግ የሚችሉ ገንቢ አባላትን ፣ ገለልተኛ አስተባባሪ አካል በተገኘበት ለማስመረጥ የሚያስችል የPTSA ምርጫ እንዲካሄድ ት/ቤቱ የበኩሉን ትብብር ለማድረግ ቁርጠኛ መሆኑን እያሳወቅን ፣ ምርጫውን የምናደርግበትን ሁኔታ አስመልክቶ ከባለሥልጣኑ መረጃ እንደደረሰን በፍጥነት እናሳውቃችኋለን።
