Married but found out my hubby is cheating. (Typical story. Found condoms in his travel bag).
And most possibly has also given his credit card to the other woman. So he's paying for her as well.
That explains why he gaslit me for a whole year on spending too much family money. I swear I didn't. Most of the money was spent on family expenses.
Long story short. I'm planning to divorce. But both kids are going through PSLE and O Levels in 2028. The whole divorce proceedings plus selling and moving house will take more than a year. I don't want them to suffer through all these and possibly cause them their grades. So I am planning to wait till they finish their major exams then start the divorce proceedings.
From now till then, I'm keeping everything normal. Hubby doesn't know that I've found out. And kids obviously have no ideas. And dw, I'm very confident I can keep the peace in next 2 years without getting emotional. I've already checked out emotionally when I first suspected it. But I didn't look for evidence back then. This time, probably some divine powers want me to wake up and presented the evidence to me without me trying to look for it.
My question is. I want to hear from ppl who have experienced parents divorce or ppl who Knows someone who did. Even better if you're working as a counselor etc.
How can I lessen the impact on the kids through the whole process?
What are the perspective of the children when it comes to such trauma and what should I be looking out for.
(For those who are curious. Keeping a mistress is my final line to cross. So that's why I'm determined. And I have also decided not to reveal to my children that I waited for them for 2 years in silence. I do not want them to have guilt of any sort knowing that I had to put up with things like that. They're extremely close to me and will feel sad if they know)

2 years ago, I met him, he was 19 and ALL that I could ask for. It was all sunshine and roses TILL our parents got involved and it became a whole mess and we broke up due to unfortunate circumstances.
Its been few years and I still think about him everyday and every guy I meet, I end up comparing and ghosting, unable to move on. He blocks me and unblocks me time to time and I see his stories and I guess it seems like he's happy with his girlfriend and I really don't wanna ruin anyth by sending a text as I wish him happiness only.
I really wanna know how hes doing and I wanna be on good terms with him. Maybe its just that i havent gotten closure or I feel apologetic for the way things ended. Sometimes I hope i stumble across him randomly but that just never happened. Makes me wonder if its not meant to be, maybe we shouldn't push it.

(Edited) What defines maturity ?
A question I’ve been wondering about for a while. I mean I asked people of various age groups and with different answers.
I mean I’m already past voting age. I still feel like a kid at times or being treated as one. I know sometimes I like to act cute and express my joy at things but I know sometimes is kiddy like or I react to situations that are not ideal like over react? I know I may over react and make mistakes sometimes, but that’s the part of learning and growing as a person.
So what defines mental and/or emotional maturity ?
How does it feel to have your frontal lobe fully developed? I don’t even know if mine actually developed, maybe when I’m too burnt out/depressed from work.
Does it just click in like how Light takes back the Death Note? I Don’t Know that was an exaggeration. Trying to be a mature person la as defined.
Because to me, I think that you know how to react and respond to situations rationally and take action accordingly with the least adverse consequences, think it should be alright.

In the office, there is a married man named A and a single woman named J. A has already signed his ROM and has plans to settle down with his long-distance wife.
