Why did fans dislike this Avatar episode so much? 🤔

Even after nearly 20 years, the series is still considered one of the best animated shows ever made because of its character growth, emotional storytelling, and incredible worldbuilding during the mid-2000s TV era. From Aang’s journey as the last Airbender to Zuko’s redemption arc, the show became a generation-defining classic between 2005–2008.

But one episode has gone viral due to its unusually low rating.
In Season 1 Episode 11.

One user explained that the reason was:

"Aang, Katara and Sokka helping two enemy tribes cross a huge canyon. The tribes just argue nonstop about a stupid old fight from 100 years ago. Aang makes up a story to fix it. It's pretty slow and feels like filler, so a lot of fans rate it low."

Some viewers call it harmless filler.
Others still skip it completely on rewatches.

The man behind many of our childhood memories...

Ted Turner, founder of Cartoon Network, CNN, TNT, WCW, and more, has passed away at the age of 87.

From Dexter’s Laboratory, The Powerpuff Girls, Ed, Edd n Eddy, Samurai Jack, and many more... Cartoon Network became a huge part of an entire generation’s childhood.

Beyond cartoons, Turner also changed television forever by launching CNN, the world’s first 24-hour news channel back in 1980, while WCW helped shape an unforgettable era of pro wrestling for millions of fans worldwide.

For many anime, cartoon, and wrestling fans, his networks were more than just channels... they were a big part of growing up.

Thank you for the memories and the childhood you helped create. Rest in peace, Ted Turner. 🙏
