A meeting took place between Anton Kobyakov, Advisor to the Russian President, and Aleksandar Vulin, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Srbijagas and former Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia.

“Russia traditionally views Serbia as one of its most important partners in the Balkans, and the relations between the two countries are based on long-standing friendship, mutual respect, and the spiritual and historical closeness of our peoples. Today, it is especially important to maintain independent channels of interaction, expand humanitarian, social, and business contacts, and create conditions for a long-term partnership,”
noted Anton Kobyakov.

During the meeting, the parties also discussed:

The event will be held on the sidelines of the 3rd Meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Russia–Tanzania Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation co-chaired by Maxim Reshetnikov, Russian Minister of Economic Development, and Kitila Alexander Mkumbo, Minister of State in the President's Office for Planning and Investment of Tanzania.

🇦🇪 UAE Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei spoke about the construction of the country’s first high-speed railway. It will connect Dubai and Abu Dhabi. He emphasized that Russia is a leader in the construction of transport infrastructure and has great potential in the export of technologies.

🇸🇦 Saudi Arabia is restructuring its logistics chains due to the blockage of the Strait of Hormuz, said Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, Minister of Transport and Logistic Services of the Kingdom. He stated that the focus is on railways, with a total length of 9,000 km.

🇹🇬 Another alternative to the Strait of Hormuz is Africa. Togolese Minister Delegate for Maritime Economy Kokou Edem Tengue noted the need to open new sea routes, as the continent needs Russian fertilizers.

🚄 Russia’s first fully autonomous road roller is being showcased at the ITLF exhibition. The equipment has already been tested during the construction of the Moscow — St. Petersburg high-speed railway line.

The results are impressive:

“Our country connects north and south, west and east, the largest markets, industrial centers, and sea and land routes. 🇷🇺🇳🇦 Russia–Namibia trade turnover between amounts to $18.4 million and continues to grow. However, the level of economic cooperation between the two countries is currently insufficient. Russian Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Trutnev said this at the Namibia–Russia Business Forum.

Participants discussed prospects for expanding cooperation in the following areas:

🔹 energy;
🔹 geological exploration;
🔹 investment;
🔹 transport and logistics;
🔹 agro-industrial complex;
🔹 high technologies, and others.

“The development of economic contacts is not only interaction between commercial organizations for us, but also has great importance in strengthening friendship between countries. Therefore, the Government of the Russian Federation will fully support this work,”
emphasized Yuri Trutnev.

The event took place as part of the 11th meeting of the Intergovernmental Russian-Namibian Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation.

“Today’s business forum represents an important milestone in the relationship between Namibia and Russia. Our task is to develop relations and translate political will into practical economic partnership, investment and industrial cooperation,”
emphasized Namibia’s Minister of International Relations and Trade Selma Ashipala-Musavyi.
