គណៈប្រតិភូនៃសាកលវិទ្យាល័យភូមិន្ទភ្នំពេញ (RUPP) ដឹកនាំដោយ សាស្ត្រាចារ្យរង បណ្ឌិត ស្រ៊ីវ ថារិទ្ធ និងមានការចូលរួមពី កញ្ញា លី ឆយី, លោក ស៊ាប កុសល, កញ្ញា សាត ម៉ារ៉ានី និងកញ្ញា ហ៊ាង ម៉ារីហ៊្សា បានអញ្ជើញទៅបំពេញទស្សនកិច្ចនៅសាកលវិទ្យាល័យ Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) និង KT Academy ចាប់ពីថ្ងៃព្រហស្បតិ៍ ០៦រោច ដល់សៅរ៍ ០៨ រោច ខែស្រាពណ៍ ឆ្នាំមមី អដ្ឋស័ក ពុទ្ធសករាជ២៥៧០ ត្រូវនឹងថ្ងៃទី ០៣ ដល់ថ្ងៃទី ០៥ ខែកញ្ញា ឆ្នាំ ២០២៦។

A delegation from the Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP), led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tharith Sriv and comprising Chhor Yi Ly, Kosal Seap, Marany Sat, and Mariza Heang, visited Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) and KT Academy from 03 to 05 September 2026.
The visit provided valuable opportunities for academic and research exchange, exploration of research facilities, exposure to industrial applications of materials science and sustainable technologies, and discussions on future collaboration in research, innovation, postgraduate development, and industry–academia engagement.
The delegation highly appreciates the warm hospitality and valuable exchanges with its Malaysian partners with great coordination of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Che Azurahanim Che Abdullah (Dr. CACA). The engagement marks another meaningful step toward strengthening international partnerships, research capacity, and collaborative innovation between Cambodia and Malaysia.

🌿 នាថ្ងៃទី២១ ខែសីហា ឆ្នាំ២០២៦ សិក្ខាសាលាស្តីពី «កិច្ចសហប្រតិបត្តិការរវាងសាកលវិទ្យាល័យ និងវិស័យឧស្សាហកម្មក្នុងវិស័យបរិស្ថានកម្ពុជា» ត្រូវបានរៀបចំឡើងនៅសាកលវិទ្យាល័យភូមិន្ទភ្នំពេញ ដោយសហការជាមួយ GIST និងមានការគាំទ្រពី KOICA។
សិក្ខាសាលានេះបានប្រព្រឹត្តទៅក្រោមអធិបតីភាព លោក កៀន តាក់ សាកលវិទ្យាធិការរង តំណាងដ៏ខ្ពង់ខ្ពស់ឯកឧត្តមសាស្ត្រាចារ្យ ជេត ជាលី សាកលវិទ្យាធិការ នៃសាកលវិទ្យាល័យភូមិន្ទភ្នំពេញ។
ក្នុងសុន្ទរកថាស្វាគមន៍ លោកបានលើកជាសំណួរគន្លឹះថា៖
«តើសាកលវិទ្យាល័យអាចដោះស្រាយបញ្ហាបរិស្ថានរបស់កម្ពុជាតែម្នាក់ឯងបានទេ? តើវិស័យឧស្សាហកម្ម និងស្ថាប័នរដ្ឋអាចបង្កើតដំណោះស្រាយប្រកបដោយចីរភាព ដោយគ្មានការស្រាវជ្រាវ និងធនធានមនុស្សដែលមានសមត្ថភាពបានទេ? ចម្លើយចំពោះសំណួរទាំងពីរគឺច្បាស់ណាស់៖ មិនអាចទេ។ បញ្ហាបរិស្ថានឆ្លងកាត់ព្រំដែនស្ថាប័ន ហើយដំណោះស្រាយរបស់យើងក៏ត្រូវឆ្លងកាត់ព្រំដែននោះដូចគ្នា»។

On 21 August 2026, the Seminar on Industry–Academia Partnerships in Cambodia’s Environmental Sector was held at RUPP in collaboration with GIST and with support from KOICA.
The seminar was presided over by Asst. Prof. Tak KEAN, Vice-Rector of RUPP, representing H. E. Professor Chet Chealy, Rector of RUPP.
In his welcoming remarks, he raised two thought-provoking questions:
“Can universities solve Cambodia’s environmental challenges alone? Can industry and government build sustainable solutions without research and skilled graduates? The answer to both is clear: no. Environmental challenges cross institutional boundaries; our solutions must do the same.”
Conducted throughout the day in an engaging and constructive atmosphere, the seminar achieved positive and fruitful outcomes, including practical exchanges of experience, a clearer understanding of public- and private-sector needs, stronger partnership networks, and new directions for internships, capacity-building, joint research, and sustainable environmental innovation. 🌱🤝

The Department of Environmental Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Royal University of Phnom Penh organized the 5th Project Steering Committee (PSC) meeting, with the participation of His Excellency Rector of RUPP, representatives from the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport, representatives from the Ministry of Environment, the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), and Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST).
The objectives of this meeting were:
1. To present the progress of the project “Establishment of Environmental Engineering in RUPP to Foster the Human Resources of Higher Education in Cambodia”;
2. To discuss the possibility of extending the project for an additional two years; and
3. To discuss the plan to open the Master’s Program in Environmental Engineering in 2027.
