this cafe has 3 floors which is kinda insane to me, it’s located quite far bit walk from the subway station but the vibes are immaculate
iced americano AMAZING
different floors indicate different activities (studying floor, talking floor, to do work floor)
perfect for a solo read book session or a friends yap session

okay not much seoul reccs cos i ate at super odd timings and didn’t take any pics of my food or just ate small bites so ….
i can recc places to shop instead 😭
but overall i love daegu so so much and i would 10/10 recommend daegu to everyone to go and visit at least once when visiting korea

- free when you order the mentaiko meal
- this was YUMMY, not very oily (i can’t rmb the filling…), sauce was very tart as well
soup
- slightly too salty for my liking
mentaiko sot bap (14k won)
- you have to season accordingly (soy sauce on the side) as it is on the slighter dry side
- mentaiko isn’t very fishy!
- portion is low key big, i couldn’t finish
it’s a super popular spot so you have to come earlier to secure a seat! wouldn’t mind coming again

no words can explain this glorious cup of drip coffee
i was determined to try their coffee regardless and i hauled my luggage over so that I could try this and NO REGRETS
my god, the smoked flavour of the drip coffee *slams table* an at such an affordable price of 9k won
TO RELIVE THIS DAY AGAIN
how it works, you wait for all the smoke to escape and then start pouring your coffee into your cup
you can also ask for an ice cube refill
i was so busy savoring the coffee that i almost missed my train back to seoul 😭
so so good, i WILL BE BACK

ive been eating my meals at odd timings that i forgot to review but!!!
they toast the bread before serving so it’s so crisp and so nice to enjoy
i got the sandy blending and WOW it’s so good
wah im so bad at food reviews when the food is actually good LOL
but genuinely, this is go to spot for sure
it’s one of the cheaper kaymak places in daegu and i feel with the amount of bread and kaymak you get, defo well worth

one word: AMAZING
garlic grilled cheese sandwich with creamy tomato soup
iced americano
honestly when i tasted the tomato soup alone, it was nowhere creamy but i get the intentions of why they made it more watery than creamy after i dip the bread into the soup
PERFECT you know how with grilled cheese sandwiches & soup set, they get super jelat overtime cos your soup is creamy and your cheese is creamy & it just feels like an overload. well this was great :D
the grilled cheese garlic sourdough was amazing omg
if you’re a garlic fan like me and sick of those “garlic blah blah” but you taste NO garlic or a TOO intense garlic, this one hits perfectly
WOULD RECOMMEND & would come back again to try their other combos

banana acai bread - 3.90
yes a double banana bread post, saw this bakery next door tianns and decided to just try cos it’s the last piece left (only takeaway avail)
needless to say i am disappointed, i had high hopes during toasting cos the banana smell was strong 😔
bread portion is BIG and the texture is crumbly and soft (i liked this)
flavour wise, im just confused… it just taste like a plain vanilla bread… it doesn’t taste anything like banana except for the top part where the banana is at (you can taste banana only there)
no hints of berries too, they said they use acai powder in the bakes but i fear it didn’t contribute anything
wouldn’t buy again :(

probably the cheapest bread + drink combo so far LMFAO
banana bread
- TASTE LIKE BANANA!!! (this is bare minimum leh)
- it’s not a subtle banana taste, it’s a wow i can actually taste banana around
- texture is fluffy
- CRYING IM SO GLAD

- the coffee is damn good, when they told me ethiopia was the house beans, i was skeptical cos almost all cafes are unable to pull this off but WOW amazing
my only complain is the coaster being smaller than the cup and i have to set it down properly to prevent it from running away
10/10 PLS VISIT THEM

banana bread - $5.50
iced black - $5
firstly, thank you for not charging me extra $1 for wanting iced black
portion size is crazy huge for the iced black (WIN)
decided to try this banana bread because it’s made with coconut flour and sweeten with dates which is sooooo interesting
sadly, the banana bread taste more coconut than banana 😔 i assume that the banana was sweet enough so they didn’t need to add on the dates cos i didn’t taste any dates
the banana flavour falls short and the coconut hits you more, but wow the texture of the banana bread was insane, i think my fav one so far in terms of texture!!! it was fluffy!!
also first cafe to provide butter for banana bread (not counting the $8.50 one where i assume i was paying money for the espresso butter too)
butter is salted and ngl its good butter but it covers the taste of the bread :(
would wanna try their other bread combos

ngl $8.50 for banana bread is the craziest price i’ve paid for banana bread 😭 but i saw “best banana bread” and i was like FINE
had a jumpscare cos i bit into chocolate chips instead of banana… (tbh i noticed this thing where some cafes?? refuses to put like the ingredients into their items, i had a banana bread with a shit ton of walnuts inside but it’s not “walnut banana bread”
but yeah… i think if the name was “chocolate chip banana bread”, that would have been better
banana taste is subtle and does hit at the back but honestly im jus eating chocolate so i dont really like it ngl…
espresso butter is bitter and slightly sweet which is an interesting addition to the banana bread
overall: i don’t see myself coming again cos $8.50 is honestly quite steep
they also forgot about my banana bread order and i prompted after waiting 20 min AHAHHAA
