Scott is already making himself out to be a Rupert Lowe figure, and today he took it to a new level of explicitness by having Lowe interspersed over clips of himself.
Scott’s influencer mates have begun posting about the need for an ‘Australian Rupert Lowe’. My guess is he’ll probably run on that or try burn himself into PHON somehow.
The only thing he has in common with Rupert is that up until very recently he supported immigration. At least when Rupert launched his recent campaign did he have the support of all walks of nationalists (clearly had some background conversation), but since Scott’s split from MFA he’s seemed to have tried to make an enemy out of just about everyone in the new right. I’m still working through a longer write up this, but to name some recent happenings
- trying to get the originally organiser of his Canberra rally to sign NDAs and MOUs to ban dozens of nationalist figures from attending
- tried suing a young nationalist for defamation
- recording and publishing phone calls with myself
You could probably psychoanalyse him very easily, the crash outs, the public baptism in Canberra from Maoris and the extreme desire to be seen as ‘the leader’.

In 2000, fewer than 100,000 Indians lived in Australia; now it’s over a million. That number has more than doubled in the last 10 years.
RedBridge analysis shows 70–85% of Indians voted for Labor, even though they are often seen in Australia as “natural conservatives.” The explanation for this discrepancy, according to the analysis, is that the right’s rhetoric on immigration scared them off.
