A Guest from Vesta
It was a scorching day in the heart of autumn, the kind that tests both body and spirit. Driven by a geologist’s curiosity and a thirst for cosmic connection, we set out toward the Lut Desert, crossing the sunburnt plains beyond Nosratabad. The motorcycle roared over the blistering dunes, each grain of sand shimmering like molten glass.
After hours of riding and navigating the vast silence, we reached the target zone. The search began—slow, deliberate, guided by instinct and the language of the land. Then, suddenly, my eyes caught a glimpse of something unusual: a dark, speckled stone half-buried in the sand. Its texture, its presence—it was unlike anything else.
Yes. It was my Howardite. A brecciated messenger from asteroid Vesta, resting quietly in the desert as if waiting for me. For someone who weaves geology with cosmos, nature, and art, this was no ordinary find—it was a guest of honor.
