In its latest report, the Coinbase analytics team stated that the cryptocurrency bull market still has room to run. Against the backdrop of ample liquidity, improving macroeconomic conditions, and a clarification of the regulatory environment, the cryptocurrency market's upward trend is expected to continue into the fourth quarter.
Coinbase analysts David Duong and Colin Basco emphasized that Bitcoin will continue to benefit from overall economic tailwinds and is expected to outperform market expectations. They stated:

Coinbase also expects continued influx of buying from cryptocurrency reserve companies (CRMs) to support the price.
However, seasonal factors, which investors are concerned about, remain a major variable. The report notes that Bitcoin closed lower in September for six consecutive years between 2017 and 2022. However, this pattern did not repeat in 2023 or 2024. Coinbase believes that the small sample size and wide variance in results make the "September Curse" a limited indicator of its value.
Even more noteworthy is the stage of the cycle for CRMs. As of September 10, publicly disclosed reserve companies held over 1 million Bitcoin (worth approximately $110 billion), 4.9 million Ether (worth approximately $21.3 billion), and 8.9 million Solana (worth approximately $1.8 billion).

Coinbase noted that with the influx of new capital, the cryptocurrency market has entered a "player-versus-player" competitive phase.
