There is another inspiring story for all aspirants.. Vaishali Gupta. She began her preparation later in her career, carrying significant family responsibilities due to unfortunate circumstances. Despite working in the corporate sector for 6 years, she never gave up on her dream of public service. During her preparation, I saw the silent fear she carried,of societal expectations, of timelines, of pressures that often push people to settle. But when many are expected to choose marriage, she chose to commit to her dreams first,and she fulfilled them.
She fought against all odds and proved a simple truth, success may be delayed, but it is never denied. What is perseverance?
Especially for women — learn it from her.
Just spoke to her at 2:00 AM — humble, soft-spoken, and grounded.
She has been preparing since 2018.
Reached the interview stage in UPSC, but couldn’t secure a rank.
Yet, nothing stopped her. she is even in mid of uppcs mains 2025 too . tomorrow is GS1 , GS2 mains., what a champion.
Even after marriage, with a daughter, she continued her journey.
She reminded me of Anu Kumari maam (UPSC Rank 2, 2017).
She is from Delhi (non-domicile of UP), yet chose to fight through UPPCS.
And now, after 8 years of relentless struggle (2018–2026),
she is Rank 1 in UPPCS.
