i've never once failed. that's not me being motivational. the only way you can fail is if you quit. if you refuse to quit you will by definition never fail. the math is simple. most people just don't like how long it takes.

Let me tell you something most people will never admit. They’re broke because they choose to be. Back when I got back from LA, I had $142 to my name.
No cushy paycheck waiting. No rich uncle.
Nothing but a brain, a phone, a crappy laptop, and the will to use them.
So I did what most people are terrified to do.
I sold and pitched EVERY SINGLE DAY.
I didn’t have a polished course.
I didn’t have a “signature service.”
I didn’t even have fancy branding.
I pitched people directly.
I offered what I could do right now to solve their problems.
Some said no. Some ignored me. But enough said yes to keep the lights on.
And here’s the truth no one wants to hear:
Building a service-based or info-product business is easy.
What’s hard is stripping away your obsession with “perfect” and actually selling.
You will never be ready.
I wasn’t ready when I bought that one-way ticket to LA.
I wasn’t ready when I came back broke.
I wasn’t ready when I started offering my skills to complete strangers.
Money doesn’t care if your offer is pretty.
Clients and customers don’t care if you’re “still figuring it out.”
The market rewards execution, not hesitation.
Most people read that and nod, then go back to tweaking their logo.
The select few take this as a direct order. They stop hiding behind “I’m still working on my website” and start selling. They close the laptop, open their phone, and find someone they can help today.
That’s the difference between the person stuck with $142 forever and the one running a business that prints money.
Here’s your move:
1- Stop looking for permission.
2- Stop waiting until you “have it all figured out.”
3- Sell what you have right now and improve as you go.
Your choice.
Always the best,
Dylan Madden
growing up in America there’s not really a need to leave. the size of the country is basically all of Europe and you can do it in your own car. greatest national parks in the world. extremely safe outside of certain cities.
but i’ve always preferred to live abroad. my family has never fully understood why.
every time i’d move somewhere new they’d send me news articles about how dangerous it was. random people on the internet whose lives are of no consequence would make comments about certain countries.
one time i was in Mexico and someone sent me an article about how dangerous it was. the article was about a village deep in cartel territory hours away from where i was staying.
this applies to every area of your life but especially travel and living abroad.
don’t base your entire life off of headlines. go see it with your own two eyes.
clients of mine have created brand new lives in countries around the world. customized for exactly what they want. the culture they want to raise their kids in. the weather. the type of luxury or simplicity that fits them.
if you’re making $10K a month or more DM me and i’ll send you a questionnaire. invite only.

Publishing the book is the start.
Not the end.
The day you publish is the day the real work begins.
If you treat publishing as the finish line, your book will sell for 2 weeks and then die quietly while you wonder what went wrong.
you crossed $10K a month. congrats. now here's what nobody told you.
the next level isn't more clients. it's fewer clients paying more.
it's not more hours. it's better systems.
it's not more content. it's the RIGHT content.
everything that got you here was about volume.
everything that gets you there is about intention.

once you hit a certain level 90% of advice stops applying to you.
Working hard isn’t the problem anymore. It is your default state.
the new challenge is finding the work that actually matters. not more work. the right work. the few things that only you can do.
everything else gets delegated to your team, staff, and AI.
most people at this stage stagnate because they keep adding.
more projects. more hires. more commitments.
the superpower is saying NO.
no i’m not going to the speaker event. no we don’t need to hire somebody for that just because everybody else thinks we should. no we’re not doing this and that.
the next level isn’t about doing more.
it’s about doing less with more clarity on what actually moves things forward.

They sold me the Lambo. The mansion.
The 200 staff. The traveling the world part.
Nobody told me I would hit $10,000 a month and wake up the same person.
Same problems. Same voice in my head.
Nobody told me about the 40 hats I would have to wear in a single day to keep it all running.
Nobody told me that $30K a month does not mean $30K in your pocket.
And nobody told me the most important part. The thing you are actually chasing is not the money. It is who you become while building it.
After 10 years across 27 countries and working with over 75,000 students, I broke the whole thing down in my newest video.

okay it's almost 1am and I'm still locked in.
it's been a full day of meetings, filming, wrote up a new blog post, spoke to 2k people live.
And it's all thanks to having a mission that wakes me up.

i have great hope and you should too. never doom. never give up. there's so much opportunity right now.
the likes of which we've never had.
and competition? haha most can't focus for more than 30 seconds.
Consistency is the move.
If your life feels stuck, literally create more.
A substack. A Youtube channel. A business. A specific metric of your health. The goal is something to transfer energy too.
btw there’s no right or wrong. In fact, you’ll gain more clarity the more you put into it.
Experience breeds confidence.
got more questions over the last 24 hours, so I wrote up a full article with FAQ -> https://calmandcollected.com/start-online-business/

Start doing outreach.
Be fully honest with what you want.
Build a family in a world where “family” is seen as risky.
Aka be more cringe.
Nobody actually cares.
And the randoms who do care, only care because their own lack of achievement is exposed by your winning.
I lived in Dubai for 3.5 years.
Drove the Lamborghinis. Lived on the Palm. Ate at the nicest restaurants 2 to 3 times a day.
And I made every single mistake you can make.
The company setup that cost me way more than it should have.
The $1,700/day car rentals that I now look back on and call stupid.
The "friends" who disappeared the second I stopped picking up the tab.
The brutal truth about why most of my successful friends found their wives BEFORE they ever set foot in Dubai.
I just dropped a brand new video breaking it all down. The 4 things I wish someone told me before I moved. The $10K/month rule I give every single person who asks me about Dubai. And the part most influencers will never admit on camera.
If you've ever thought about moving to Dubai, relocating your business there, or you're just curious what 3.5 years on the ground actually looks like, you need to watch this before you book that flight.

your parents worked jobs they hated so you could eat.
your mom skipped meals and never told you. your dad missed years of your life so the bills got paid.
they gave you everything they had and asked for nothing back.
and you’re sitting on the same couch scrolling the same phone watching other people build the life your parents never got to live.
you owe them more than comfort. you owe them proof it wasn’t for nothing.
be the version of your family that breaks the pattern. make the money. build the family. continue what they started but couldn’t finish.
the first person to speak in a room sets the tone. everyone else is reacting.
most people wait 20 minutes to say something. by then the barrier is so high they never open their mouth.
say something in the first 5 minutes. doesn't matter what. a question. an observation. anything.
once you've spoken once, the second time is easy. it's the silence that compounds.
Your family wants you to be safe. They just can't see what they've never seen.
My dad told me I'd be 28 working entry-level jobs. Called me a loser for not going to college.
I made him a deal. Give me 2 years.
That was 10 years ago.
Today I run my business/am partnered with the number 1 educational platform on the planet from a laptop.
I wake up in the mountains. I drink wine from my family vineyard. I decide how every hour of my day goes.
My dad is proud now. Took him 5 years to say it out loud.
The people who love you the most will fight the hardest to keep you where they understand. Not because they want you stuck. Because they've never seen anyone leave and win.
Love them. Thank them. And still choose differently.

Weird how the guys posting "rise and grind" at 5am are the same ones burnt out by Thursday and scrolling reels by Friday.
Busy isn't productive. You're just distracted with better looking excuses.
