From April 1, new traffic rules have come into force to improve safety for pedestrians and micromobility users.
🚫 Riding on sidewalks
Self-propelled bicycles are not allowed on sidewalks.
For bicycles, e-bikes, and e-scooters, riding on sidewalks is allowed only if there is no other option.
In that case:
• pedestrians always have priority
• you must ride at walking speed
• you must not disturb or endanger pedestrians
🚴 Where to ride
Use bike lanes or shared pedestrian/bike paths where available.
If not available, you may ride on the road in a single line, as close as possible to the right side.

No 1. aprīļa stājušās spēkā izmaiņas Ceļu satiksmes noteikumos, kuru mērķis ir uzlabot satiksmes drošību, īpaši gājējiem un mikromobilitātes lietotājiem.
🚫 Braukšana pa ietvi
Ar pašgājēju velosipēdiem pārvietoties pa ietvi ir aizliegts.
Ar citiem mikromobilitātes transportlīdzekļiem (velosipēdiem, e-velo un elektriskajiem skrejriteņiem) braukšana pa ietvi ir atļauta tikai tad, ja nav citas iespējas.
Šādos gadījumos:
• gājējiem vienmēr ir priekšroka
• jābrauc ar gājēju pārvietošanās ātrumu
• nedrīkst traucēt vai apdraudēt gājējus
🚴 Pārvietošanās pa ceļu
Velosipēdiem, pašgājēju velosipēdiem un elektriskajiem skrejriteņiem jāizmanto veloceliņš vai gājēju un velosipēdu ceļš attiecīgajā virzienā.
Ja šāda infrastruktūra nav pieejama, ir atļauts braukt pa brauktuvi vienā rindā, pēc iespējas tuvāk labajai malai.

Important: Traffic Requirements for Bicycle Courier Partners in Riga
We're reaching out with an important reminder about traffic rules that every courier must follow when riding in Riga.
These are legal requirements - not recommendations - and following them is essential for your safety, the safety of pedestrians, and the reputation of courier community.
Traffic Requirements:
Self-propelled bicycles and bicycles must use a bicycle lane or pedestrian and bicycle path in the appropriate direction, as close to the right side as possible. In cases where there is no such path, it is permitted to ride on the roadway in a single line as close as possible to the right side.
Riding on the sidewalk is only permitted if no other options are available. In such cases, the speed must be such that pedestrians are not disturbed and must not exceed the speed at which pedestrians move.
Riga Municipality has raised concerns about couriers riding on sidewalks instead of using available bicycle lanes or the roadway. This creates unsafe conditions for pedestrians and affects how couriers are perceived across the city.
By following these rules, you help keep pedestrians safe, avoid potential penalties, and show that Bolt Food couriers are responsible road users.

Vēlamies jums atgādināt par ceļu satiksmes noteikumiem, kas jāievēro katram kurjeram, braucot pa Rīgu.
Šīs ir likumā noteiktas prasības – nevis ieteikumi – un to ievērošana ir ļoti svarīga jūsu drošībai, gājēju drošībai un kurjeru kopienas reputācijai.
Ceļu satiksmes prasības:
Velosipēdiem, tostarp pašgājējiem velosipēdiem, jāizmanto veloceliņš vai gājēju un velosipēdu ceļš atbilstošā virzienā, pēc iespējas tuvāk labajai pusei. Ja šāds ceļš nav pieejams, ir atļauts braukt pa brauktuvi vienā rindā, pēc iespējas tuvāk labajai pusei.
Braukšana pa ietvi ir atļauta tikai tad, ja nav citu iespēju. Šādos gadījumos ātrumam jābūt tādam, lai netiktu traucēti gājēji, un tas nedrīkst pārsniegt gājēju pārvietošanās ātrumu.
Rīgas pašvaldība ir paudusi bažas par kurjeriem, kas brauc pa ietvēm, nevis izmanto pieejamos veloceliņus vai brauktuvi. Tas rada nedrošus apstākļus gājējiem un ietekmē to, kā kurjeri tiek uztverti visā pilsētā.
Ievērojot šos noteikumus, jūs palīdzat nodrošināt gājēju drošību, izvairīties no iespējamiem sodiem un veicināt pozitīvu Bolt Food kurjeru tēlu kā atbildīgiem ceļu satiksmes dalībniekiem.

Starting today, 09.03, the 🔢 PIN code feature will be enabled for medicine deliveries.
Initially, this will apply to one pharmacy only and may be expanded later.
When a medicine order is placed, the customer will receive a PIN code. The customer must provide the PIN upon your arrival, and you must enter it in the app to complete the delivery.
Follow these requirements when handling medicine orders:
• Medicine orders must be delivered separately (not mixed with other items or orders).
• A delivery bag must be used to protect medicines from damage, leakage, humidity, or direct sunlight.
• Do not open or tamper with the packaging — all labeling must remain intact.
• Orders must not be left unattended. If the customer is unavailable, the order must be returned to the pharmacy.
• ID verification is required at handover to ensure the customer is at least 18 years old.
Pharmacists may request a certificate confirming completion of the course “Minimum Hygiene Requirements in Food Businesses.”
Please be ready to present it in digital or printed form if asked.

Lūdzu, ievērojat šos noteikumus, veicot zāļu piegādes:
• Zāļu pasūtījumi jāpiegādā atsevišķi (nedrīkst apvienot ar citiem pasūtījumiem vai precēm).
• Zāles jāpārvadā piegādes somā, lai pasargātu tās no bojājumiem, noplūdes, mitruma vai tiešiem saules stariem.
• Aizliegts atvērt vai bojāt iepakojumu — visām etiķetēm jāpaliek neskartām.
• Pasūtījumu nedrīkst atstāt bez uzraudzības. Ja klients nav sasniedzams, pasūtījums jāatgriež aptiekā.
• Saņemšanas brīdī obligāti jāpārbauda klienta personu apliecinošs dokuments, lai pārliecinātos, ka klients ir vismaz 18 gadus vecs.
Farmaceits var lūgt uzrādīt apliecību par kursa “Minimālās higiēnas prasības pārtikas uzņēmumos” apguvi.
