One of the most significant moments of one’s life, their marriage, is not only a step towards a new chapter of life, but also a sacred & spiritual ritual that formalises the union of the couple and their families.

In the Hindu tradition, the marriage ceremony consists of multiple rituals, each with their significance and symbolic meaning.

Couples can make a booking to perform their marriage ceremony at the #AbuDhabiMandir where they will be guided through the ritual by a pujari and receive the blessing of God.

On 20 May 2026, Swami Brahmaviharidas and directors from BAPS Hindu Mandir, Abu Dhabi, were honoured to participate as key signatories in the launch of the “Pledge & Commitment” initiative at Abu Dhabi Energy Center.

Organised by the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence and Sandooq Al Watan, and held in the presence of H. E. Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, the gathering brought together community and business leaders in a shared expression of loyalty and commitment to the United Arab Emirates and its visionary leadership.

The Mandir offers prayers for the continued peace, harmony and progress of the UAE.

Rituals of the Mandir: Mahapuja

Mahapuja is a worship ritual that allows many devotees to simultaneously participate in prayer.

This ritual is performed by devotees to ask God for an unhindered path to completing a particular endeavour or during festivities in murti pratishtha, commencements, inaugurations, housewarmings, and even birthdays or wedding celebrations.

Devotees can perform a mahapuja for various occasions in the ritual rooms on the lower floor of the #AbuDhabiMandir where they will be guided through the ritual by a pujari and receive the blessing of God.

The Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis, warmly welcomed Swami Brahmaviharidas of BAPS with a shawl and garland at his residence.

During their heartfelt exchange on social and spiritual development, he praised the work of the BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi for promoting art, culture, and values; especially global harmony, and spiritual strength.

The Chief Minister also lauded the global efforts of the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha in upholding courage and compassion, through humanitarian services, especially during times of the recent conflict in the Middle East.

Swami Brahmaviharidas, garlanded him on behalf of HH Mahant Swami Maharaj, and conveyed his innermost blessings.

It was a cordial meeting between two leaders dedicated to the welfare and wellbeing of not just Maharashtra and India, but the world at large. #AbuDhabiMandir

April 19, 2026: The BAPS Hindu Mandir Abu Dhabi marked its official reopening with a dignified UAE flag-raising ceremony on April 19, following the resumption of public visits from April 14 in line with national safety guidelines. Over 1,000 attendees from across the UAE gathered in a powerful expression of gratitude, unity, and solidarity with the nation’s leadership and people.

Held in the Mandir’s courtyard, the ceremony was attended by senior officials including Brigadier General Hamed Al Hajeri, Head of the Joint Task Force, Brigadier Mohammed Al Amri and His Excellency Mubarak Al Ameri of the Department of Community Development, alongside Swami Brahmaviharidas and Mandir representatives. Members of diverse Indian cultural organisations and wider expatriate communities participated in a vibrant procession, proudly waving UAE flags and reflecting the country’s values of tolerance and coexistence.

Addressing the gathering, Swami Brahmaviharidas expressed heartfelt gratitude to the leadership of the UAE, particularly His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, for his vision and commitment to the safety and wellbeing of all residents, reaffirming the Mandir’s role as a place of peace, service, and community support. #AbuDhabiMandir
