محطات فخر للجامعة الأمريكية في بغداد
شارك طلبة كلّية الدراسات الدولية في تنظيم مؤتمر العراق للطاقة، المُقام برعاية دولة رئيس مجلس الوزراء العراقي، السيد محمد شياع السوداني، وبالتعاون مع منصة العراق للتنمية.
للسنة الثانية على التوالي، أسهم طلبتنا في استقبال الضيوف والشخصيات الرسمية، وفي تنظيم الجلسات والحوارات والمشاركة في النقاشات، كما في دعم العمليات اللوجستية للمؤتمر، وذلك بإشراف الدكتور مصلح إيرواني وعميدة كلية الدراسات الدولية، الدكتورة إليزابيث بيشوب.
تُجسّد هذه المشاركة روح القيادة والعمل الجماعي والانخراط المهني الواقعي.

Students from the College of International Studies were part of the organizing team of the Iraq Energy Conference, held under the patronage of H. E. Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ Al-Sudani, in collaboration with the Iraq Development Platform.
For the second consecutive year, our students contributed to welcoming guests and dignitaries, organizing sessions and panels, participating in discussions, and supporting the conference operations under the guidance of Dr. Muslih Airwani and Dean Dr. Elizabeth Bishop.
A true reflection of leadership, teamwork, and real-world engagement.

برعاية وزارة التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي، وتحت شعار "معاً نصنع مستقبلاً يليق بجامعات العراق"، استضاف مركز التميّز للإبداع والتطوير في الجامعة الأمريكية في بغداد حفل إطلاق "البطولة الوطنية الجامعية للروبوتات وتطبيقات الذكاء الاصطناعي" (NURAI 2026)، بحضور وكيل وزارة التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي لشؤون البحث العلمي، د. حيدر عبد ضهد، ومسؤولين في الوزارة ورؤساء بعض أبرز الجامعات العراقية، إلى جانب رئيس الجامعة الأمريكية في بغداد وبعض كادرها، وممثّلين عن مؤسّساتٍ من القطاع الخاص، وحشدٍ من المهتمين.
عبر مبادراتٍ تعليميةٍ وبحثيةٍ كهذه، تلعب الجامعات العراقية دورها كمحرّكاتٍ للإبداع والتطوّر، وتلعب أيضاً، بشكلٍ جماعي، دورها "كقاطرةٍ لمجتمعٍ صحّيٍّ ومزدهر"، بالاستناد إلى "مورد العراق الأبرز"، الطاقة والشغف والمهارات التي يتمتع بها جيل الشباب العراقي، قال رئيس الجامعة الأمريكية في بغداد، د. برادلي كوك، في خطابه الافتتاحي.
Under the patronage of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and with the slogan, “Together We Shape a Future Worthy of the Universities of Iraq”, the Center of Excellence for Innovation and Development (CEID) at the American University of Iraq-Baghdad (AUIB) hosted the launching ceremony of the National Universities Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Competition (NURAI 2026), attended by Deputy Minister for Scientific Research, Dr. Haidar Abed Dahd, Ministry officials, Presidents of some of the most prominent Iraqi universities, AUIB President and university cadre, representatives of private sector institutions, and a host of interested parties.
Through such educational and research programs, Iraqi universities act as engines of innovation and advancement, and collectively, they act as “a lynchpin for a healthy, prosperous society,” drawing upon Iraq’s “greatest resource,” the energy, passion, and skills of its youth, said AUIB President, Dr. Bradly Cook, in his opening speech.

بهدف دعم وتشجيع البحث العلمي لدى طلاب المرحلة الجامعية الأولى (البكالوريوس)، نظّمت الجامعة الأمريكية في بغداد مؤتمراً لـ "بحوث طلاب المرحلة الجامعية الأولى في حقوق الإنسان"، تحت شعار "حقوق الإنسان ليست خياراً". قدّم طلابٌ من تخصّصاتٍ أكاديميةٍ متنوعة أوراقاً بحثية تناولت مواضيع عديدة تشمل الجوانب القانونية والاجتماعية الاقتصادية والطبية والبيئية والثقافية والتكنولوجية والتعليمية، تقاطعت جميعها في مقاربتها الحقوقية لمعالجة التحديات متعددة الأوجه التي يواجهها العراق في مرحلة ما بعد الحرب.
رحّب رئيس الجامعة، د. برادلي كوك، بالحضور، وكان من أبرزهم مسؤولون في هيئاتٍ تابعةٍ للأمم المتحدة، مؤكّداً التزام الجامعة نهج الدراسات متعددة التخصّصات، والتي تساعد الطلاب على "فهم عالمنا" وتوسيع نظرتهم تجاه قضايا معقّدة مثل حقوق الإنسان.
With an aim to support and encourage research among its undergraduate students, the American University of Iraq-Baghdad organized a conference on “Undergraduate Human Rights Research” under the slogan, “Human Rights Are Not Optional”, where students in various academic disciplines presented research papers on a wide array of themes, including the legal, socioeconomic, medical, environmental, cultural, technological, and educational_ all intersecting in their rights-based approach to the multifaceted challenges faced by post-war Iraq.
AUIB President, Dr. Bradley Cook, welcomed the guests in attendance, most notable of whom were United Nations officials, and affirmed AUIB’s commitment to interdisciplinary studies that help students “make sense of our world” and broaden their view of issues as complex as human rights.
