XAUUSD (H1 Time Frame)

1️⃣ Market Context

Gold is currently in a clear downtrend structure, forming consecutive lower highs (LH) and lower lows (LL) after a strong rejection from the higher supply zone. The market has shifted from a ranging phase into bearish momentum, with sellers maintaining control.

Price is now reacting from a recent low and showing a short-term pullback, but overall context still reflects a continuation phase within a bearish trend, not a reversal.

2️⃣ Technical Analysis

Price is approaching the 4780 – 4800 resistance zone, which aligns with the descending trendline and previous breakdown structure. This area acts as a key confluence where selling pressure is likely to re-enter.

The recent impulsive drop created a strong imbalance, and the current upward move appears to be a corrective pullback rather than a shift in structure. As long as price remains below the trendline and fails to break above the resistance zone, the bearish structure remains intact.

Liquidity is now positioned below the recent lows and within the 4690 – 4670 zone, making it a probable target if sellers regain control after the pullback.

3️⃣ Key Technical Levels

Resistance Zones: 4780 – 4800, 4840 – 4860
Support Zones: 4720 – 4735, 4690 – 4670, 4620 – 4650

📈📉Support and Resistance: Mistakes and Proper Use

Many traders make the mistake of thinking that resistance always means looking for short trades, and support means looking for long trades. Let’s break down how to use these levels correctly.

🔴 Resistance is not always a signal to go short.
🟢Support is not always a signal to go long.

Many traders mark support and resistance zones and simply wait for price to reverse at every level. This is a flawed approach.

💡 Context matters ,both the levels themselves and the overall market structure.

Proper use of support and resistance:

📤Uptrend: Look for breakouts of resistance. Expecting a reversal at resistance in this case is a mistake. Also consider bounces from support as continuation of the upward trend.

📥Downtrend: Use resistance to look for rejection trades to the downside. Additionally, look for breakouts of support to continue the downward trend.

↗️ Support and resistance are just tools , they need to be used in the right market conditions.
