Jolla C2 Community Phone Sold Out

Jolla’s Q4/2025 batch of the Jolla C2 Community Phone is now sold out. Due to high memory prices and extended supplier delays, no new batches will be ordered for the time being.

Customers who have already placed orders will receive their devices from the Q4/2025 batch, but should expect delayed delivery. Updates will be posted in the official thread.

Jolla recommends new customers consider pre-ordering the upcoming Jolla Phone, as its mass production nears.

Jolla Phone - Referral Program

Jolla recently introduced a referral program and shares ideas on how the community can help newcomers get started with Sailfish OS or support them with questions such as Android app compatibility. There’s also the possibility to get a referral code if you’d like to promote the Jolla Phone — with it, you can earn yourself a Jolla T-shirt.

Jolla Phone - Photos of Design & Appearance Models

Jolla has received the first appearance models of its upcoming phone. These non-functional models are designed to match the device’s real dimensions, weight, materials, and overall feel. The company reports that the phone feels well balanced in hand and supports comfortable one-handed use. In size, it is comparable to the Sony Xperia 10 III with a 6-inch display.

We get to see the first photos showing the look of the upcoming Jolla Phone 📱.

Jolla at FOSDEM 2026

The event will take place during the weekend of 31 January and 1 February 2026 in Brussels. Jolla can be found at the Linux on Mobile stand and will organize once again a Sailfish OS meetup on Saturday evening.

Jolla Phone: Update to Technical Specs

A couple of days ago, Jolla shared an update on the upcoming new Jolla Phone. The project has passed 6'000 pre-orders, with a goal of 10'000 by the end of January 2026 to unlock the new TOH (The Other Half).

The phone is planned to use an unpublished MediaTek Dimensity 7000-series chip, with up to 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage, broad 4G/5G support, and a handy dual SIM + microSD setup.

Camera-wise, expect a 50 MP Sony main camera, plus an ultrawide and a solid front camera.

The Other Half Returns

Jolla has announced plans to revive The Other Half, its modular, swappable back cover concept, as sales of the new Jolla Phone have surpassed 5'000 units. The company says the return of The Other Half will be unlocked if total sales reach 10'000 devices, with the third batch now on sale.

The Other Half (TOH) is a swappable back cover that does more than protect the phone — it transforms it. The original Jolla Phone, released in 2013, pioneered the concept with an open I2C interface and NFC-enabled covers that could change themes and behaviour simply by snapping them on.

Jolla is back with a new unique Jolla Phone

The Finnish company has launched its new Jolla Phone, running the independently developed European Sailfish OS.

The comeback is off to a strong start: the first 2,000 pre-orders sold out in under 48 hours, and totals have already passed 2,500 units. A second batch is now up for pre-order at €549, with deliveries planned for the first half of 2026 across the EU, UK, Norway, and Switzerland.

The phone is assembled in Salo, Finland, the former home of Nokia’s phone production. Jolla fans will appreciate that the new model nods to the original Jolla phone and the Jolla C community device, complete with a colorful, replaceable cover.

Sailfish OS stays true to its privacy-first roots: no background tracking, no Google dependency. There’s even a physical privacy switch. Android apps still work thanks to Jolla’s AppSupport.

Specs at a glance: 6.36" AMOLED, MediaTek 5G, 12 GB RAM, 256 GB expandable storage, 50 MP main camera, and a 5,500 mAh replaceable battery.

Jolla says the goal is bigger than just one device — they want to push for more European tech independence.

Sailfish Community News - Xmas Greetings!

Jolla and http://Venho.AI/ have made significant progress in the past two weeks. Highlights include the opening event of the Jolla AI factory at the Salo IoT campus, with over 100 visitors and media coverage.

The Jolla C2 received software updates enabling VoLTE, though issues with mobile data and camera features remain but Jolla is working on it, also on the delayed device repairs due to logistics challenges.

The community new also include a Repository and App roundup.
Jolla wishes the Sailfish Community a Merry Christmas, with the next update scheduled for January 9th.

Jolla recently published instructions on how to flash the Jolla community device C2 with the latest Sailfish OS images. This is also useful for increasing the root partition size.
