College Street Presbyterian Church at Bathurst

Completed in 1885 and designed by Smith & Gemmell, became the College Street United Church in 1925 when Canada's Presbyterians, Methodists, and Congregationalists voted to form the United Church of Canada.

Weird little tango in the 1980s: church membership had dropped from 2000 to 150 in the 1980s, they wanted to develop the land (reserving space for the congregation in the new development) to save the church, the city gave it a conservation listing and refused demolition, then approved a partial demolition.

Initially marketed as the Chanel Club condos, they presumably received a cease-and-desist and added another N in there. Today they're the Channel Club condos.

The shaman of Bad Dürrenberg are the remains of a 25-35 year old woman, who was burried 8600 to 9000 year ago in Germany 🇩🇪

Around her, were the remains of an extraordinary head-dress, made from the bones and teeth of different animals such as deer, wild boar, crane and turtle
