https://t.me/USSRwasChristian", I decided to look into this my self and it seems "USSR was Christian" intentionally took the quote out of context. This is not the first time this has happened: another clear example is shown , where they deliberately LIED.
When the quotation is examined in context, it is presented as if https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mikhail_Tukhachevsky were somehow admitting that โcommunism was Christian.โ However, the full paragraph makes its meaning unmistakably clear:

He is literally stating that he detests socialists, Jews, and Christians in the same breath. The claim that socialist doctrine is โa branch of universal Christianityโ is clearly framed as an insult, not a compliment.
Only a few pages later, in the same source, Tukhachevsky goes even further: he is described carving wooden idols of Perun in a prison camp and kneeling before them while mocking Christianity, openly advocating for a return to Slavic paganism:
ยซTukhachevsky explained: โThis is Perun. A powerful figure. He is the god of war and death.โ And Mikhail knelt before him with comic seriousness. I burst out laughing. โDonโt laugh,โ he said, rising from his knees. โI told you the Slavs need a new religion. Theyโre given Marxism, but that theology is too modernist and civilized. According to the very same source, Tukhachevsky despised Christianity and explicitly called for its replacement with a revival of Slavic pagan gods.
