Uzbekistan is becoming a magnet for attracting international events!
This week, Uzbekistan takes centre stage in the global space industry as the Space Technology Conference Central Eurasia marks its 5th anniversary, returning to the country that first hosted it in 2022.
STC has become a key international platform connecting Central Eurasia with the global space community, bringing together governments, industry leaders, and global organisations.
Hosted by Uzcosmos, STC 2026 in Tashkent gathers 400+ delegates, 24 sponsors, and participants from 32 countries.
The programme includes keynote sessions, panel discussions, exhibitions, and high-level B2B and G2B meetings — creating opportunities for collaboration and innovation.
As part of STC, outreach activities also took place, including lectures by astronauts Michael López-Alegría and Alper Gezeravcı at leading universities in Tashkent.
Supported by international space agencies and organisations, the conference highlights the region’s growing role in the global space ecosystem.
At a time when the world feels increasingly uncertain, Uzbekistan is quietly becoming a welcoming place for international events and global dialogue. It’s a reminder of the value of peace — something we all appreciate.
STC 2026 is just the beginning. In the coming months, the country will host a number of important international events, including Global Carrier Week in partnership with Uztelecom, a GSMA event in May, the International Olympiad in Informatics, and ICT Week Uzbekistan.
Step by step, Uzbekistan is strengthening its role as a reliable and open platform for cooperation, innovation, and meaningful global conversations - on Earth and beyond.
