⚠️🔈 Official Statement – March 2025 EUR/USD Drawdown Event.
Hello everyone,
As many of you may already know, this past March we experienced a historic drawdown in the EURUSD pair — something that had never occurred in our 15 years of backtesting, nor in the 6 years of audited live accounts. That’s why we want to share this statement to explain what happened and the reasons behind it.
On February 28th, 2025, our Asterysc - Hunter system began executing sell operations as part of Analysis Block 1. A few hours later, Analysis Block 2 also initiated sell trades. Since that date, a series of major events have unfolded — including developments in the Russia-Ukraine war and countless statements from both Trump and European leaders — which led to an unprecedented depreciation of the US dollar. To be specific, we haven’t seen the dollar lose value against the euro this rapidly since 2009. (We encourage you to look up the news from recent weeks to understand just how historic this move has been.)
This unexpected situation triggered the system’s recovery mode, which began executing a series of hedging strategies to manage the negative floating positions in the open trades.
Last week, the majority of our accounts successfully closed trades in profit as usual. In a few other accounts, the system applied a floating cut strategy to exit the situation as quickly as possible and restart trading from a clean slate.
We want to emphasize that trading in the financial markets always carries risk. While our system is highly tested and has been performing consistently over many years (and we believe very few, if any, can show a longer track record of positive results), the possibility of partial or total capital loss is something that must always be considered.
During the weeks when these positions were open, the system held sell positions exceeding $500 million USD with one particular broker. Unfortunately, that broker behaved in ways that a serious and reputable broker should never act — especially with a client like Asterysc. As a result, we’re making several announcements today:
🕯 COPY-TRADING
Going forward, we will focus exclusively on copy-trading accounts with two brokers that did not cause any issues during the recent drawdown. These brokers are:
The copy-trading service on AXI will be reactivated in the coming hours. However, due to several concerns regarding their actions during the past weeks, it will not be a focus for us moving forward. That said, those who still wish to copy us via AXI may do so:
🔼SYSTEM UPDATE
- As of last week, our team has been working on updating the algorithm to version v11, with the goal of minimizing the possibility of multiple analysis blocks interpreting the same market direction simultaneously. Additionally, we’re improving the system’s predictive analysis engines.
- All copy-trading accounts will be updated to the new version.
- Clients with active usage licenses will receive the updated version automatically.
📊 HISTORICAL DATA OF OLD ACCOUNTS
When this project began, we worked with the broker FBS. Our oldest public account is Hunter #1, hosted on FBS. This week, FBS officially announced that it will cease operations in Europe, and that all MT4 accounts will be closed by early April 2025. Unfortunately, this means we will lose future tracking of these main public accounts. Although we are currently negotiating with them in hopes of finding a solution, it is highly likely that these accounts will be shut down and will no longer accumulate performance history.

All that being said, as many of you already know, Asterysc was founded in 2019 and will be here for many years to come. We are constantly working to improve our system and adapt it as best as possible to current market conditions. That is our commitment to all of you — while always reminding that past performance does not guarantee future results, and that the markets always involve the risk of partial or total capital loss.
Best regards,
The Asterysc Team
