South Africa is a country where in a single day you can see whales, penguins, dramatic ocean cliffs, world-class wineries, and wildlife you’ve only ever seen in films and National Geographic.
We’re going this autumn: wandering through the colorful streets of Cape Town, tasting South African wine in the vineyards of Stellenbosch, watching Atlantic waves crash against the cliffs of Cape of Good Hope — and of course meeting African penguins on the beach.
We’ll drive along the legendary Chapman’s Peak Drive, one of the most beautiful coastal roads in the world, and climb Table Mountain — one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World.
And then we’ll head to Kruger National Park — one of the world’s greatest wildlife reserves — to meet the Big Five not in a movie, but in real life.
