Since identifying the hack, we have been operating under an emergency response framework with a clear priority: minimizing damage to the project and our holders. We quickly traced and blocked related wallets and transactions, and worked closely with exchanges and partners to reduce the risk of further impact across the community. As a result, additional damage has been kept to a minimum.

We are currently conducting a thorough investigation with our technical team, legal counsel, and external security partners to determine the exact intrusion path and prevent recurrence. This attack appears to involve a sophisticated method different from previously known patterns. We are therefore not only addressing immediate recovery needs but also reassessing our broader security framework from the ground up.

Piggycell is a real-world asset (RWA) project backed by a proven Web2 business model and active operational infrastructure. This incident does not compromise the fundamental operation of our real-world services. However, given the significant impact on token circulation and the market, our focus at this stage is on stabilizing the situation and restoring what has been affected.

We will dedicate all available resources to recover as quickly as possible, rebuild trust with exchanges, partners, investors, and the community, and bring the ecosystem back to normal.

We are providing an interim update on the security incident that occurred on December 5 and our ongoing response.

We have confirmed that the sharp price drop around 8:40 PM on December 5 was driven by the large-scale sale of $PIGGY tokens that were unlawfully minted by an external attacker.

We are coordinating closely with all relevant parties to keep trading controls in place, implement deposit and withdrawal restrictions as needed, and strengthen monitoring of wallets and transactions linked to the attacker. We have formally reported the incident to the National Police Agency and KISA and will visit the National Police Agency on Monday to fully support the investigation.

This was a clear external attack and is not related to any internal leak or misconduct by the Piggycell team. We will proceed with an independent external audit and a comprehensive review and reinforcement of our security systems.

We will share further confirmed updates through our official channels as soon as they are available. Until then, we strongly advise you to refrain from trading $PIGGY.

We identified an abnormal large-scale unauthorized minting of $PIGGY tokens from one of our project wallets, and immediately activated our emergency response protocol under strong suspicion of a security breach.
Upon detecting the incident, our team promptly requested all listed exchanges to suspend trading and restrict deposits and withdrawals. We are closely monitoring on-chain activity in real time to prevent any further damage.

This incident was caused by a malicious external attack. We are thoroughly investigating the intrusion route, total impact, involved wallet addresses, and all related transactions.
Protecting our holders is our top priority, and we are doing everything possible to minimize losses and establish a full recovery plan.
