I may have been a dumbass and thought a default feature was caused by YScroll.
Please verify that YT opens in a small window even if you don't have YScroll installed.
If I was wrong... leave a poop emoji.

Well, I talked big about Rust and Zig, but I was struggling genuinely for 10 mins with for... in and for... of loops in TS. π
Apparently, for... of is when you want to iterate through an array. JS is a weird language sometimes man.

Hi guys!
Me and my friends would like to announce..,
π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯...
The Reciprocity Game Jam!
It will be a specially long 6-month hackathon where you and one of your friends can compete in this half-a-year game jam!
Why is it this long, you ask?
Well, traditional game jams that last 2 days to about a week usually don't give us devs enough time to learn and try new things, which might feel repetitive at times.
To thwart that issue, everyone will have ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY DAYS (yes, the big 180) to learn, work and share their art for everyone to see and experience!
Sign up now using this link: https://itch.io/jam/reciprocity-game-jam

Why does the power go out when it rains in this country bruh? Feels like a symptom of building too fast and not considering edge cases smh.

So... shaders.
A shader is just code that runs on your GPU. It's written in a C like language called GLSL. Without getting too deep into the math, the way I made this grid was this:
Imagine a grid cell, imagine the left boundary to be at position x = 0 and the right boundary as x = 1.
Your GPU will look at the entire quad (the grid's rectangle) and it'll divide it into grid cells (how many cells is up to you).
Finally every cell boundary starts at x = 0 and ends at x = 1 (for your vertical lines), you just tell the GPU, "if you find that you're at x = 0 or x = 1, draw a line, else draw nothing" but with math.

Also, my editor is coming together slowly. Made some minor adjustments.
Slowly getting there. Making really small adjustments in my free time.
This is what it looks like currently, the UI is made with https://daisyui.com/?lang=en and Vue.
It's mostly static and not fully stable yet. I have no electricity at home, so will take the chance to ramble about the math for a few minutes.

I realized that I never discussed the architecture details, they're like so:
1. Zig is compiled to WASM with a build script.
2. JS loads the WASM binary and extracts the names of the functions exported by Zig. These functions are responsible for the perspective 3D math and for the actual editor data.
3. JS/TS calls these functions and reads their outputs by passing a pointer to WASM's memory (which Zig manages internally, using free and malloc functions).
4. These values represent vertices. In the case of the grid, we render a large rectangle (formally called a quad).
5. TS recieves the grid quad and overlays grid lines on top of it using shaders.
I'll talk about shaders next.
But the pipeline is:
1. Zig does math and compiles to WASM
2. TS reads the result from WASM
3. TS passes it to WebGL
4. WebGL takes care of the rendering directly on the GPU

Use %s for global search and replace. Also, learn https://www.rexegg.com/regex-quickstart.php with me, definitely helps in many situations.
