Validators participating in the ongoing Validator Challenge #7 will receive a 50 points bonus for updating their machines within 30 minutes.

Steps:

Edit config/variables.cfg and set:
OVERRIDE_CONFIGVER="tags/v2.0.2.1-bon"

Run:
./script.sh upgrade
./script.sh start

Do this on every machine.

Challenge #7
600ms Marathon — Consensus Stability

72 hours. Five requirements. All automated.

Window starts at 16:00 UTC and runs until Tuesday, March 24 at 16:00 UTC.

Five requirements:
(1) Consensus participation rate ≥95% over the full 72h window — 750 pts
(2) Ignored signatures ratio <5% (your votes must arrive on time) — 650 pts
(3) Block proposal success rate ≥90% when selected as leader — 500 pts
(4) Do not unstake — maintain eligible, waiting, or auction status at every epoch — 350 pts
(5) Apply the zero-downtime node patch when released — ≤10 consecutive failures — 250 pts

Scoring is tiered. Higher performance = more points per requirement.

All verification is automatic — no screenshots, no log uploads needed.

Scores are computed from the validator/statistics endpoint using T0/T1 snapshots.

Bonus points:
→ +100 pts — participation rate ≥99%
→ +100 pts — ignored signatures ratio <0.5%
→ +50 pts — patch applied within 30 minutes of announcement

Multi-node providers: each node is scored independently. Your final score is the average across all registered nodes.

Monitor the announcement channel for the patch release during the challenge window.

Challenge #3: Crossover

Tomorrow, 16:00 UTC.

Transactions must now cross shard boundaries.
Intra-shard sends don't count.

Route smarter in Part 1 and come up with radical optimizations for Part 2.

The setup:
→ Part 1 (16:00–16:30): 2,000 EGLD fee budget, 500 fresh wallets
→ 30-min break — create and fund a new wallet set
→ Part 2 (17:00–17:30): 500 EGLD fee budget, 500 new wallets

Scoring:
→ 75% technical — top guild = 100 pts, others proportional
→ 25% content
→ Bonus: first 3 guilds to 1,000,000 cross-shard tx get +10/+7/+5 pts

How to use Kepler Infra for BoN Challenges
1. Go to Kepler BoN Portal: https://bon-kepler.projectx.mx/
2. Log in using your guild wallet.
3. Swap some EGLD for USDC and grab the biggest plan. (Don't worry, it's fake money! Doing this helps us stress-test the payment system.)
4. Open the Dashboard to create your keys.
5. Access the API, Event Notifier, and Gateway.

One million MoveBalance transactions in a single 24-hour window.

One simple goal:
One million transactions.

Challenge window: 24 hours

Start time: March 17, 18:00 UTC
End time: March 18 18:00 UTC

Requirements:
— Target: 1,000,000 successful MoveBalance transactions within the window (intra + cross-shard)
— Plain EGLD transfers only — no SC calls, no ESDT transfers, empty data field
— Use up to 500 sending addresses funded from your Registered Address
— Only successful transactions count

Verification happens onchain.
No manual submissions needed.

Complete within the first 12 hours for a 100 point bonus.

Tips:
🏓 Use ping-pong transfers among your funded addresses to recycle funds
🪽 Spread load across multiple senders to avoid nonce bottlenecks
📊 Monitor failure rates — spikes indicate fee starvation or nonce contention

Only transactions inside the official window will count toward your score.

PLEASE NOTE:
We added a leaderboard to track transactions for all participants. This is purely for fun. You do not need to exceed 1,000,000 transactions to receive a perfect score… but you can, for fun on or sport ⚔️🔥

We identified and resolved two issues, including one discovered during the hard fork process itself.

State has been restored to before the incident occurred.

A hard fork is now live and running.

BoN Validator action is required. 🧑‍🔧

⚠️ Validators: you cannot join the network during the current epoch (2055).

Once epoch 2056 begins (~21:40 UTC), follow these steps:

The first public battle test of the biggest upgrade since Mainnet launch.

Activation tomorrow, on March 16th at ~9:00 UTC.

All validators participating in the Battle of Nodes must upgrade before activation.

What happens at activation
→ Supernova round activation triggers 100 rounds after epoch 2048 starts (~9:00 UTC)
→ During those 100 rounds, ONLY pending txs clear
→ At round 29589115 (~9:10 UTC), the switch flips

6 seconds → 600ms.
10x faster.
