Getting a lot of reports from 🇮🇹 Italian customers that the service hasn't been accessible at all for them for a few days now

It seems that the Italian telecommunications authority blocked our servers completely so that's why it made the service inaccessible for Italians.

I sadly can't think of a solution at the moment except for advising our customers in Italy to use a VPN.
We have a free VPN installation guide available on our website at https://argontv.nl/iptv-vpn

Or if you have a paid VPN that definitely would perform better (because free VPNs are usually overloaded)

This also applies to customers in other countries like 🇪🇸 Spain and 🇨🇦 Canada. If the service is working for you and channels load, you don't need a VPN.
However if the service stopped loading for you, please consider using a VPN to bypass your government/ISP censorships

📢 Backup channels reminder

We noticed that a lot of people are unaware of the fact that we usually offer more than one source for the same channels.

For example, a channel called "UK| BBC 1 HEVC" may be having a temporary problem from the source, but we also offer other entries for the same channel that come from different sources and can be more stable.
For example, the alternative channels for "UK| BBC 1 HEVC" are "UK| BBC 1" and "UK| BBC 1 HD"

To get all the available alternative entries for a channel, you just need to search for the channel name in your IPTV app; then the IPTV app will list all the backup channels for you.

SUMMARY: Remember to always look for the backup channels when problems occur because we offer them specifically for this purpose.

Information for NextDNS users

Disclaimer: If you're not using NextDNS or if you don't know what NextDNS is, don't bother reading this announcement.
We recently have been receiving complaints from users who use the NextDNS service as their firewall and adblocker.

The problem is that NextDNS often block newly-registered domains because they think that this approach keeps their users safe from some types of internet attacks (which can be true but it's still not ethical to block all newly registered domains on the internet).

We usually recycle our domains to help everyone use our service without the need to use a VPN,
and this unfortunately doesn't work well with NextDNS because as explained above, they block newly-registered domains.

So if you're using NextDNS and it's causing you issues with our service, we advise disabling the NextDNS filter list which is responsible for blocking new domains.
Or alternatively, you can use a different DNS server (like http://8.8.8.8/ or http://1.1.1.1/) on the devices which use the ArgonTV service

Examples of complaints that we recently received because of NextDNS:
- Live channels stopped loading
- Channel logos stopped loading

If you're experiencing any of these problems, please apply one of the solutions that we suggested above

🌐 Network upgrade notice

We have ordered a 10Gbit network expansion to upgrade our current network capacity to ensure that it can handle any new clients without issues.
The upgrade is expected to be delivered by the datacenter in the morning.

No downtime is expected during the upgrade process.
No action is required from your end.
The upgrade will automatically apply and improvements shall be felt once the datacenter delivers.

Hiya!

Please note that we have just pushed 2 important updates for both TiviMate and OTT Navigator.

You can download and install the new app versions from the links below:

Please note that this update also aims to fix some blockage issues which were happening on TiviMate in certain countries by some ISPs.

- Fixed a problem which got some people falsely banned by our DDoS protection system (error code 403)
