After a sharp sell-off, markets finally caught a breather and the trigger?

A pause in geopolitical escalation.

*What Changed Overnight?

Donald Trump announced a temporary halt to strikes on Iranian energy infrastructure.

That single signal was enough to:
* cool crude oil concerns
* ease global risk sentiment
* trigger a relief rally across markets

The Market Reaction

Indian markets responded strongly:

Nifty 50 jumped 1.72% to 23,306
Sensex rose 1.63% to 75,273
Market cap surged by ₹7.5 trillion

Broader markets joined in:

Midcaps: +2.35%
Smallcaps: +2.58%

This wasn’t just a bounce, it was broad-based recovery
