Question:
Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu
My doubt is if a person fasts a day before the first day of dhul hijjah due to uncertainty because different sources showed different dates, will the fast still be counted even if not as the dhul hijjah fast?

Answer:
Waalaikum assalam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh
Firstly being uncertain in today's era is something strange, as there are sources like news channels, internet etc which gives exact information about moon sighting.
Secondly, if we accept that there was a genuine uncertainty about moon sighting in your location then you must have completed the 30 days and avoided the day of doubt.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ذَكَرَ رَمَضَانَ فَقَالَ ‏"‏ لاَ تَصُومُوا حَتَّى تَرَوُا الْهِلاَلَ، وَلاَ تُفْطِرُوا حَتَّى تَرَوْهُ، فَإِنْ غُمَّ عَلَيْكُمْ فَاقْدُرُوا لَهُ ‏"‌‏.‏

Narrated Abdullah bin Umar: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) mentioned Ramadan and said, "Do not fast unless you see the crescent (of Ramadan), and do not give up fasting till you see the crescent , but if the sky is overcast (if you cannot see it), then act on estimation (i.e. count as 30 days).

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الأَشَجُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَالِدٍ الأَحْمَرُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ قَيْسٍ الْمُلاَئِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ صِلَةَ بْنِ زُفَرَ، قَالَ كُنَّا عِنْدَ عَمَّارِ بْنِ يَاسِرٍ فَأُتِيَ بِشَاةٍ مَصْلِيَّةٍ فَقَالَ كُلُوا ‏.‏ فَتَنَحَّى بَعْضُ الْقَوْمِ فَقَالَ إِنِّي صَائِمٌ ‏.‏ فَقَالَ عَمَّارٌ مَنْ صَامَ الْيَوْمَ الَّذِي يَشُكُّ فِيهِ النَّاسُ فَقَدْ عَصَى أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏.‏ قَالَ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ وَأَنَسٍ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى حَدِيثُ عَمَّارٍ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ ‏.‏ وَالْعَمَلُ عَلَى هَذَا عِنْدَ أَكْثَرِ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَمَنْ بَعْدَهُمْ مِنَ التَّابِعِينَ وَبِهِ يَقُولُ سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ وَمَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ وَالشَّافِعِيُّ وَأَحْمَدُ وَإِسْحَاقُ كَرِهُوا أَنْ يَصُومَ الرَّجُلُ الْيَوْمَ الَّذِي يُشَكُّ فِيهِ وَرَأَى أَكْثَرُهُمْ إِنْ صَامَهُ فَكَانَ مِنْ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ أَنْ يَقْضِيَ يَوْمًا مَكَانَهُ ‏.‏

Silah bin Zufar said: "We were with Ammar bin Yasir when a roasted sheep was brought and he said: 'Eat.' Someone among the people said: 'I am fasting.' So Ammar said: 'Whoever fasts on a day in which there is doubt, then he has disobeyed Abul-Qasim (pbuh)."

Can we combine the intention of making up a missed Ramadan fast with fasting during the first 9 days of Dhul-Hijjah?"

Answer:
و علیکم السلام ورحمتہ اللہ و برکاتہ
No, we can't combine a nafl and an obligatory act of worship under one niyyah(intention)

Capcut..an editing app.. isn't available in India so people use VPN and then use capcut. is this permissible to do?

Answer:
و علیکم السلام ورحمتہ اللہ وبرکاتہ
1)if VPN itself is illegal in the country where you live, then it's not permissible to use it as you may have to face bad consequences like penalty, arrest etc.
2)If VPN is legal there and you are using it to buy goods/subscriptions of some apps not available in your country, then while the transaction itself and the items purchased remain halal, using a VPN to lie about your location is considered lying and cheating, which is haram.

Scholars don't consider it as correct.
Better is to avoid doing this(combining aqeeqah with Walima)

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
1. Designing... poster, Wishing post, etc for non muslim festival isn't permissible right?
2. If any (muslim) wedding isn't done acc to the sunnah way.. it includes Haldia mending music and all freemixing .. so designing weeding cards, invitation permissible? Or not ?

Answer:
Waalaikum assalam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh
1)Yes you are right, it's haram.
2)a. If you are certain that the marriage event for which you have to make a card or poster etc is going to take place against Sharia then you should avoid making such poster or card etc
b. If you aren't certain how the marriage event is going to be held, you can make a general poster or card on which a general statement about invitation to a marriage is written without mentioning events in detail(as the family hasn't told you about it).
Eg a family comes to you and tells you to make a wedding card for them inviting people to marriage ceremony of their son or daughter without mentioning any events
c. If you know that there are some events which are halal going to take place along with some haram ones, you can make posters or cards for halal ones avoiding haram ones.
For example a family comes to you and says that they want a wedding card inviting people for Nikkah, Walima, Music, you will tell them that you can make for Nikkah and Walima only

Question:
Assalamwalaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh

I had one question I'm not sure if it's directly related to aqeedah...but if someone claims that they know who is in heaven or hell or something related to ghaib - that person can't be trusted right? Even if he is some known scholar amidst people the knowledge of ghaib is only with Allah so is the person a liar then?

Also if someone claims that they can help others by making dua or doing ruqyah and all, and they say that it's a gift from Allah or a miracle that they use to attract people to Allah or help them
even today or perhaps ages ago there were people who claimed the same, can they be believed?
Some people call them Awliya of Allah or those especially gifted by Allah and other things, is it correct view?

Answer:
Waalaikum assalam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh
We know that every prophet of Allah علیہم السلام اجمعین اند and their true companions(صحابہ)are in Jannah.
Also we know the people who were promised Jannah by Allah specially, upon the tongue of prophet Muhammad صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم like the ten sahaba (عشرہ مبشرہ)
Also we have general rule that whoever follows the commands of Allah and refrains from prohibited matters is in Jannah,
From all this we can have a good thought about normal Muslims that in sha Allah they will be going to Jannah but we can't guarantee because we don't know what is in their heart. So whoever claims that he certainly knows about who will be going to Jannah is lying and Allah knows best
