Congratulations on the Arrival of the Blessed Month of Ramadan 1447
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. All praise is to Allah, the Lord of the worlds, and prayers and peace be upon the most noble of prophets and messengers, the Seal of the Prophets, Mohammad, and upon his good, pure family, and perpetual curse upon all their enemies from the first to the last.
On Abi Ja'far (peace be upon him) he said: “Do not say: ‘This is Ramadan,’ nor ‘Ramadan has gone,’ nor ‘Ramadan has come.’ For Ramadan is one of the Names of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic; He neither comes nor goes. Rather, that which comes and goes is transient. Instead, say: ‘The month of Ramadan,’ for the month is annexed to the Name, and the Name is the Name of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic. It is the month in which the Qur’an was revealed; He made it an example and a warning.”
We congratulate the Shia believers of men and women on the occasion of the advent of the blessed month of Ramadan, the month of worship, obedience, purifying the soul, drawing closer to Allah Almighty.
As believers and awaitors of the Imam of our time, al-Hujja ibn al-Hasan al-Mahdi (may Allah hasten his return), our goal during this month should go beyond merely fasting until the month ends. It is not just a month to abstain from food and drink until sunset, but a month of discipline, self-restraint and to renew our commitment to purify our souls, to restrain from sin, do good, increase the mention of Allah, His Prophet and the family of the Prophet (peace be upon them), to be just and sincere, in our worships and in our actions and how we treat others. In this month, we should strive to emerge from it better than we were in its first day, to have a spiritual growth that continues even when the blessed month of Ramadan is over, as we remain consistent in our worship and closeness to Allah and doing good.
Ramadan Mubarak. We thank Allah Almighty for allowing us to reach this blessed month in good health and well-being. We ask Allah to make this month an opportunity for sincere repentance for those striving in His obedience and we also ask Him for guidance and steadfastness in His religion and to accept our fasting and good deeds.
We ask Allah the Exalted to hasten the appearance of the Master of the Affair and the Time, Abu al-Qasim Muhammad ibn al-Hasan al-Mahdi, may our souls be sacrificed for him. And do not forget us in your sincere prayers, perhaps you are nearer in rank to Allah, and conclude it with prayers upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad.
