一些公开信息 u should know

1. 参议院银行委员会预计在五月进行 markup（审议/修订听证），最可能在 5 月中旬（如 5 月 11 日那一周）

2. 参议员 Cynthia Lummis 已公开确认：“我们将在五月 markup Clarity Act，并把它推到终点。”

3. 如果 markup 在中旬顺利进行，接下来可能在 5-6 月 进入参议院全体投票，然后与众议院版本协商，最快夏季前由特朗普总统签署。

但是

若拖过 5 月中旬，2026 年通过的机会会大幅下降（立法日程紧迫，加上夏季休会和中期选举）。

所以你需要自己建立自己的判断针对这个，你需要自己做个判断这个的进度在5月中 如果你觉得不行的话 那你就应该本月整体看空 如果你觉得这个在月中的结果能偏好 那你现在就该做多 加仓

you've probably seen quantum fud blowing up on the internet today. google dropped a paper saying they can crack bitcoin in 9 minutes and everyone's acting like crypto is over.

RELAX. i'm seeing a lot of confused and panicked takes so here's my full breakdown for anyone who wants to actually understand what's going on.

FIRST!! what did google actually say?

they found you might only need 500,000 qubits to break bitcoin's encryption. old estimates said millions. that's a 20x drop. they also modeled an attack that could hijack your bitcoin mid-transaction in 9 minutes, just under the 10-minute block time. sounds scary right?

google's best chip has 105 qubits. the attack needs 500,000. that's like a guy on a ladder saying he's going to the moon. the ladder is real but bro you're not even past the roof. 🤡

and the 2029 deadline everyone's freaking out about? that's google's deadline to quantum-proof their own stuff. gmail, chrome, cloud. it's their homework, not bitcoin's expiration date.

WHYY does this always happen in bear markets?

2018: quantum fud.
2019: google "quantum supremacy" with 53 qubits, panic.
2022: IBM hits 127 qubits, more panic.
now march 2026: this paper, btc at $67k, fear index at 28.

EVERY TIME. nowhere close to an actual attack. but fud hits different when you're already down 50% from ath. that's not coincidence, that's psychology.

ok but this time is actually a bit different

the threshold dropped 20x. real math, real attack model, not just "quantum scary." and here's the spicy part nobody's talking about: bitcoin's own 2021 Taproot upgrade accidentally made things worse by exposing public keys on-chain by default.

simple version: your bitcoin has two layers of protection. your address hides your public key behind a mask. your private key is the actual key. quantum attacks the key, but only if it can see past the mask first. old formats keep the mask on until you spend. taproot rips the mask off immediately. oops.

WHO IS actually fixing this?

ETH has been on this since 2018. dedicated teams, weekly testnets, migration roadmap across multiple upgrades. they're chilling because they've been building for years.
BTC has the building blocks (NIST finalized post-quantum standards in 2024, BIP-360 is drafted) but zero coordination. no timeline, no fork plan, no urgency. bitcoin's "move slow and break nothing" culture is usually a feature. right now it's a bug.

NEXT 5 YEARS realistically: 1. quantum hardware improves, stays nowhere near attack-capable 2. ETH likely moves faster, pressures BTC to follow 3. BIP-360 debate gets loud 4. Satoshi's 1M+ exposed coins become THE political flashpoint

WHAT TO ACTUALLY DO??

1.don't use taproot (bc1p) for long-term cold storage 2. use native segwit (bc1q), keeps your public key masked until you spend 3. use a real bitcoin hardware wallet, not a multi-chain hot wallet for your bigger $$s 4. doesn't make risk zero but massively reduces your exposure
