[Gold Hits Record $4,200/oz: Volatility Dynamics Based on Quantitative Analysis]

Gold recently reached a record high of approximately USD 4,200 per ounce. Over the past five years, it has appreciated about 117%, supported by ongoing geopolitical uncertainty and sustained central-bank accumulation.

To better understand the current market behaviour, I conducted a volatility-clustering study using GARCH modelling across 1,254 trading days of data, supported by 3-D volatility-surface visualizations.
