Prashant Jain once said:

“The best time to buy India is when foreigners are selling.”

Look at history.

2008:
FIIs sold heavily during the Global Financial Crisis.
Nifty fell below 3,000 levels.
Over the next 5 years, Nifty moved above 9,000 — more than 3x recovery.

March 2020:
Massive FII panic selling during Covid crash.
Nifty crashed near 7,500.
Within around 18 months, Nifty crossed 18,000 — more than 2x recovery.

2022:
Another major FII outflow phase.
Markets corrected sharply.
Later, Indian markets again moved towards fresh lifetime highs.

Why does this happen repeatedly?

Because FIIs often sell due to:
• Strong Dollar
• Rising US interest rates
• Global risk-off sentiment

…not always because Indian businesses suddenly became weak.

Meanwhile:
Earnings continue.
Businesses grow.
Valuations become attractive.
And retail investors panic exactly when opportunities quietly build.
