The legendary Mercedes-Benz SL roadster, an automotive icon since the 1950s, is receiving an ultra-luxurious makeover for 2026. Mercedes-Maybach, the brand’s pinnacle of luxury, has unveiled the new SL 680 Monogram Series, available in two exclusive design concepts: Red Ambience and White Ambience.
Drawing inspiration from the SL’s rich heritage while incorporating Maybach’s signature luxury elements, the Monogram Series brings new levels of customization and refinement. Only 300 units of each Ambience version will be produced, making this a truly rare collectible for discerning drivers.
The exterior features a two-tone paint scheme, with a Maybach-exclusive pattern incorporated into the hood through an intricate hand-finishing process. Rose gold and chrome accents distinguish the front and sides, including the iconic Mercedes star mounted proudly upright on the hood. At the rear, Maybach taillights and badging announce this roadster’s elite status.
Inside, sustainably sourced Nappa leather in a radiant Crystal White hue provides an airy, open feel complemented by silver chrome details. Custom start-up animations and ambient lighting create a serene aura. The acoustic insulation and suspension tuning deliver the whisper-quiet comfort Maybach clients expect.
Under the hood lies a 577-horsepower biturbo V8 linked to a buttery 9-speed transmission, promising effortless cruising with commanding acceleration when desired.
