As GATE is approaching, the last 30 days are going to be hard.
We get mixed feelings. Sometimes we study 3 hours in a stretch and get filled with lot of positivity. Other times, we waste half an hour procrastinating or on social media etc, we are filled with a sense of guilt. Sometimes, we get worried by the parts that we could not touch, or even by the fear of whether the year will be fruitful or not. Attempting tests and not getting expected marks shakes us further from within. Seeing others score better than you infuse more anxiety. One thing that kills more than any other is SELF DOUBT! Is this enough?
Here's what you all should practice in last 30 days:
(i) Our physical and mental well-being is GREATER THAN any exam in the world.
(ii) Exams will always be there, today it is GATE, tomorrow life will give you more challenging exams. Physical life, no matter how much you earn, no matter what levels you achieve, will always pose new exams your way... for entire life. This never changes, from a rickshaw puller to a CEO of billion-dollar firm, all will have to face the LIFE. Once you are done with one challenge, life will give you one more. No matter what someone else might claim, THIS IS THE REALITY. You make the journey enjoyable by accepting the REALITY than pretending that it will change once I reach this or that stage. ACCEPT the exams of life, face them with courage and with all your capacity.
(iii) The good news: THERE IS NO FAILURE. If you become an observer of point (ii), you smile and face things as they are. With POSITIVITY. With COURAGE. With HONESTY. With ALL YOU CAN. But, as I said, there is no failure. You get a rank, you move on to a new stage with more challenges, more exams waiting to embrace you. You don't get a rank, you move on to something else in life where everything you gathered at this stage HELPS you. NOTHING EVER GOES WASTE.
(iv) All this might sound that LIFE IS A CONTINUOUS STRUGGLE. Hell NO!!! The tree, the river, the clouds, other beings than human.... ALL ENJOY THE PROCESS! Only we humans see it as the struggle. It's not struggle, its the process. ACCEPT IT, EMBRACE IT, LIVE EVERY MOMENT, CONTRIBUTE. Make your moments on this beautiful planet meaningful.
(v) Exams come and go, but the attitude you develop during such times will stay with you forever. So, as I said earlier, there's no failure. NOTHING EVER GOES WASTE.
