Call for application, Fellowship at Radiology and MRT department
A. Academic Requirements
1. Holder of a degree of Doctor of Medicine from a recognized university and must have a general radiology specialty certificate from a recognized university.
2. Must be a registered and licensed general radiologist by the Federal Ministry of Health of Ethiopia and should have practiced at least for two years as a general radiologist.
3. Foreign applicants must hold a letter of good standing from their institution and must produce their professional license authenticated from federal ministry health of Ethiopia. Admission will be as per to the national and college legislation
B. Nonacademic Requirements
Applicants must be in acceptable physical and mental health without any serious health conditions that would limit the ability to cope with the requirements of the training program and service. The Academic commission reserves the right to deny admission to unfit candidates.
Selection
- All interested radiologists meeting the above criteria are eligible. If the number of applicants exceeds the available spot, selection will be made based on the score achieved on the following parameters and those candidates with the higher scores will be selected:
1. OSCE - 30% - Multiple Stations with Cases which will be assessed in an objective and structured manner.
2. Interview -30% based on standardized interview format
3. Entry portfolio and other documents review -- 40% -which includes, CV, postgraduate performance, letter of appreciation for extra-activities with certificate awarded, Research activities, publications, recommendation letter, and sponsorship letter.
Available spot: 2 for each field of study

4. Body Imaging Radiology
5. Cardiothorasic Imaging
6. Vascular and Interventional radiology

Registration Place: Registrar office/ Radiology and MRT department

β’ Speciality certificate and student copy,
β’ Letter of appreciation for extra-activities with certificate awarded (if available)
β’ Research publications,
β’ Recommendation letter, and
β’ Sponsorship letter
β’ All applicants should have passed the recent NGAT and should submit the certificate along with the document during application.

Today orientation was given to the members of the school council on System-Oriented Medical Education (SOME).
The initiative was developed and incorporated into residency curriculum by FMOH in collaboration with MoE with concept of integrating system thinking into medical education.
For the implementation of System-Oriented Medical Education (SOME) two senior staffs of our school attended one week intensive training which was prepared by FMOH at Adama.
To have common understanding orientation was given to members of the school council by Dr Kaleb and Dr Basazin and discussed on way forward.
Trainings on SOME will be given for all Senior staffs on the weeks to come.
