No one prepares women enough for how much the body changes with age — and that silence often leaves many feeling confused or “not like themselves.”
عورتوں کو اکثر یہ نہیں بتایا جاتا کہ عمر کے ساتھ جسم میں کتنی تبدیلیاں آتی ہیں — اور یہی خاموشی انہیں الجھن اور بے چینی میں ڈال دیتی ہے۔

But here’s the truth: these changes are natural, not a weakness.

🧕 As women move through phases like Perimenopause and Menopause, the body gradually shifts:

In this fleeting life, we strive in many directions — some attempts crowned with success, others ending in failure. At times we are content, submitting to the decree of Allah, knowing that success and failure alike are written. Yet one sorrow lingers in the heart: the sadness of our parents when they see us stumble. Their eyes that once glowed with joy at our first steps now dim when our steps falter in the path of life.

It is reported in Tārīkh al-Khaṭīb that Imām Abū Ḥanīfah — may Allah have mercy on him — once refused the appointment to judge, and for this he was beaten. On one occasion he wept, and when released he said: “The grief of my mother was heavier upon me than the beating itself.” Such is the weight of a parent’s sorrow, heavier than pain, harsher than blows, and more piercing than failure itself.

So strive, my dear brother and sister, never to burden your parents with your sadness. Conceal your stumbles and hardships, and do not let your struggles become a cause for their grief or worry. When you are in their presence, let your face shine with smiles, your words flow with gentleness, and your company bring them peace — even if pain lingers silently in your own heart. For this, indeed, is from the greatest forms of dutifulness and righteousness towards one’s parents.

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:

“A time will come when the nations will call one another against you just as people invite others to share a dish.”

The companions asked: “Will that be because we are few in number?”

He ﷺ replied:
“No, you will be many on that day, but you will be like the foam of the flood. Allah will remove the fear of you from the hearts of your enemies and will cast weakness into your hearts.”

They asked: “What is this weakness?”
He ﷺ said: “Love of the world (dunya) and hatred of death.”
(Sunan Abi Dawud 4297 — Hasan)

This is not just a prophecy, it is a mirror.

Foam looks large, but it has no weight, no direction, no strength. It moves wherever the current takes it.

And today, we see:
• A huge Ummah, yet divided
• Strength in numbers, but weakness in unity
• Knowledge available, but little action
• Attachment to dunya, but negligence of akhirah

The real problem is not external enemies, it is the internal condition.

Allah says in the Qur’an:
“Indeed, Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves.” (13:11)

This hadith is not meant to create fear, it is meant to awaken responsibility.

The solution is clear:
• Return to sincere faith (Iman)
• Hold firmly to unity (Ummah)
• Detach from excessive love of dunya
• Revive the Sunnah in our lives

Because real strength is not in numbers… it is in obedience to Allah and firmness upon

*أَبــــي وأُمّــــي* 👑 𝗠𝘆 𝗙𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 *&* 𝗠𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿

_Take a moment and look at your father’s face, and the lines on your mother’s face… and realize that those pure faces have changed only through loving and raising you. Pause… look at their hair turning white...and know that they aged while giving you their best._

Gently hold their hands, feel the veins within them… those same hands once held you, protected you, fed you, wiped your tears, stayed awake for you, struggled and worked tirelessly…so that you could live with ease.

Sit beside them and notice the medicines they take… one for blood pressure, one for sugar, another for pain, another for cholesterol… until you realize how much they have endured for you, for your youth, your dreams, and even for the joy of your children.

When you see their backs bend and steps slow... know that the chance to earn Jannah through them is slipping, hold on tight and cherish them.

_Being dutiful to parents does not end. It continues in their lifetime and even after their death, through your duʿāʾ, your charity on their behalf, and every good you do for them._

Nothing is greater after Tawḥīd than being good to your parents.

*وَقَضَىٰ رَبُّكَ أَلَّا تَعْبُدُوا إِلَّا إِيَّاهُ وَبِالْوَالِدَيْنِ إِحْسَانًا ۚ إِمَّا يَبْلُغَنَّ عِندَكَ الْكِبَرَ أَحَدُهُمَا أَوْ كِلَاهُمَا فَلَا تَقُل لَّهُمَا أُفٍّ وَلَا تَنْهَرْهُمَا وَقُل لَّهُمَا قَوْلًا كَرِيمًا*
_*“And your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him, and that you be kind to parents. Whether one or both of them reach old age with you, do not even say “uff” to them, nor repel them, but speak to them a noble word."*_

[سورة الإسراء ١٧:٢٣]

If your child shows no interest in a particular field of study, don’t force them into it.

Ibn al-Qayyim (rahimahullah) advises parents approximately 700 years ago to observe their child's aptitudes and interests, and not force them into a particular field if they have no inclination towards it. Instead, guide them towards areas where they show a natural talent or enthusiasm, while ensuring they receive essential religious education. This approach will help them excel and make a positive contribution, whether in academics, skills like horsemanship, or useful handicrafts. (Tuhfat al-Mawdood fi Ahkaam al-Mawlood (p. 243, 244))

Imam Ibn Hazm said 1000 years ago:
‎ من مال بطبعه إلى علم ما وإن كان أدنى من غيره فلا يشغلها بسواه فيكون كغارس النارجيل بالأندلس وكغارس الزيتون بالهند وكل ذلك لا ينجب

The Prophets were Fathers of Daughters
– Ibnul-Qayyim al-Jawziyyah رحمه الله

Ibnul-Qayyim al-Jawziyyah رحمه الله [751 AH] said; “Allah ﷻ has revealed in regards to the right of women

فَإِنْ كَرِهْتُمُوهُنَّ فَعَسَى أَنْ تَكْرَهُوا شَيْئًا وَيَجْعَلُ اللهُ فِيهِ خَيْرًا كَثِيراً “If you dislike them, it may be that you dislike a thing and Allah brings through it a great deal of good.” [Surah an-Nisā 4:19]

And just like daughters, a person may find much good in them in this life and the next. It is quite repulsive that a man should hate that which pleases Allah ﷻ, and to hate a blessing that is bestowed upon him. It was mentioned that Ṣāliḥ ibn Aḥmad said; ‘Whenever my father [Imām Aḥmad] had a daughter born to him, he would say: the Prophets were the fathers of daughters, and in regarding the daughters there has come [in the narrations a reward] that is known.’ Yaʿqūb ibn Bukhtān said; ‘Seven daughters were born to me, and every time I had a daughter born to me I would go to Aḥmad ibn Ḥanbal and he would say to me; ‘Yaʿqūb! The Prophets were fathers of daughters..’ and his speech would do away with my worry.'”

✨ The Value of Parents — A Heart-Touching Advice

A young man once complained to a religious scholar:
“My parents are old. I fulfill all their needs, yet they remain unhappy with me.”

The scholar looked at him thoughtfully and said:
“My son, that is exactly the reason for their displeasure… you only give them what they ask for.”

The young man was surprised and asked for clarification.

The scholar replied:
“Have you ever thought… before you even came into this world, your parents had already prepared everything for you?
Your clothes, your food, your safety, your comfort… they took care of every small and big need of yours.”

“Did they ever ask you whether they should enroll you in school?
Did they seek your permission about how to shape your future?
No… they always fulfilled your needs even before you asked.”

“Your first bicycle, your first school, your first job…
Even your upbringing, your speech, your way of living…
everything was given to you without you asking for it.”

“And today you say you give them what they ask for…
My son, parents are not meant to ask.”

✨ The real lesson is this:
Learn to give to your parents before they ask.

✔ Ask about their problems
✔ Give them your time
✔ Serve them with love
✔ Take responsibility for their needs
✔ Consider them a blessing, not a burden

Sometimes massage their feet…
Sometimes apply oil to their hair…
Treat them the way they treated you in your childhood…

Remember:
Just as they raised you without expecting anything in return…
you too should treat them with kindness and sincerity.

Then you will see…
they will be happy, and Allah will be pleased with you.

Hearing this advice, tears flowed from the young man’s eyes…
and every heart in the gathering was deeply moved.

May Allah grant us the ability to value and honor our parents…
Ameen, Ya Rabb al-‘Alameen 🤲
